Help find a smell.....

These is a distinct smell of rotting cabbage in our kitchen/dining room.

I've stuck my head in all cupboards, the fridge, the dishwasher and the washing machine but cannot find where it is coming from!

How on earth do we find the source??

Yep, as PP's have said, a rotting cabbage smell is exactly what alerted me to a dead mouse my cat had brought in.

Leak behind the washing machine?

I had a weird onion like smell in my bathroom once. Turned out the towel rad was leaking but due to the heat of the rad, it was drying out before it made a puddle on the floor.

Dodgy electrics can smell fishy. I had a socket that was burning out which smelt like this.
