Bright blue bathroom suite - what colour walls?

We have one of those old-fashioned blue bathroom suites - a sort of turquoise blue. We can't afford to have the bathroom entirely redone so we are keeping the blue sink/tub (and the dreadful off-white tiles patterned with a sort of grubby green cactus print).

We're stripping the wallpaper though and I'm a bit stumped as to what colour to paint the walls? What goes with turquoise blue and off-white/tiny bits of yellow-green? A darker/lighter blue? White?

Any suggestions much appreciated Grin

Paint the tiles white. Will take a couple of coats but then frees your colour choices up!

I agree with painting the tiles, maybe a pale creamy colour, like white sand. Then go with nautical themed accessories. I'd possibly even go as far as pebble lino flooring.

Can you put another shelf or shallow cabinet above the end of the bath to the right of the sink?

Your bathroom looks like a similar layout to ours (I'm guessing that you were standing in the doorway and the toilet is just off shot to the left of the sink?) If so, could you squeeze in a tall cabinet at the other end of the bath, that would be on your right as you enter the room? Something like this:

Look what I've found at IKEA

IKEA Search puts the extensive IKEA range at user’s fingertips.

I have hopefully attached a picture of the bathroom.. it's hard to take a picture of all of it because the roof is sloped under the shower/bath. I've also attached a picture of the tiles. The walls are currently blue/grey peeling wallpaper...

Lean into it, not away from it. So bright and light wallpaper prints, accessorise with bright colours. Bright fun bathmat, soap dish... Use wood to ground the design, so wicker basket to hold your bottles on the window sill (declutter too if you can). A wooden framed bright picture on the wall (don't worry about condensation, we have IKEA frames in both of our bathrooms and never had an issue).

Like another poster said, make it look intentional and fun.

To get rid of the clutter you can put an under sink cabinet, you could also put glass shelves across the window.

Another idea would be for everyone to have their own wash bag and these can be on hooks on a bit of wall or the door.

I would go white/off white and get a cabinet to go round the sink to make it look less cluttered and a new blind and taps if budget runs to that.

I reckon you could make a feature of it maybe. A quick Google and I found this which I actually really like.

I love the colour of that suite! I'd ditch the ugly wooden chest and the big vase of flowers and just go for Art Deco accessories.

Pink walls, pick out the pink in the tiles and have black accessories.

Deluxe have a colour called gentle fawn, this may be good, it’s definitely warming and goes with various colours and decor.
