Horrible

Twotooto · 02/03/2024 22:16

8 MILLION POUNDS 😱

Obviously location but that still feels like an insane amount of money.

CountryCob · 03/03/2024 06:44

@TwotootoI agree huge money but it’s priced on the plot size, as a development site. Really interesting and cute though especially the kitchen.

ibelieveinmirrorballs · 03/03/2024 07:38

It’s priced as highly because it’s in a prime Chelsea location. There’s nothing in the listing to suggest it’s ripe for being replaced with flats. It’s a beautiful architectural style and there are a few roads with these kinds of houses in Chelsea. It’ll be snapped up - not just a huge plot but sizeable floor space!

LightDrizzle · 03/03/2024 07:53

Wow! Thank you for sharing that.

Mid-century furniture nuts, of which there are many, will be swooning over that. I wonder if it might get Listed? I hope whoever buys it decorates and furnishes it sympathetically and doesn’t destroy the kitchen. It could so cool.

I bought a house that was untouched since 1952. Sadly that meant completely untouched, as in no maintenance of any kind. We had to have it gutted before the electrics took it out... and new roof, new everything!

Sorry EIGHT MILLION?!?! I bet whoever owned that house did not buy it for that!

Not many houses for sale are listed for the same price as purchased for?!Hmm

BruceAndNosh · 03/03/2024 08:25

It will cost loads to get the wiring, plumbing and insulation up to reasonable standards.
It will be demolished and 3 three storey townhouses built and sold for 6 mill each.

Oh what a wonderful kitchen. So sad that it will all be destroyed. I am finding the stairs terrifying, always hated the ones that are just floating, not solid.
