I imagine apartments like the $60m one appeal to super rich/famous people who want guaranteed security & privacy. But I don't suppose you end up saying 'hello' to your neighbours when putting the bins out or taking in Amazon parcels for each other.
If you are super rich/famous you are probably trying to avoid that sort of thing. It must be like living in a seriously posh hotel. Everything available with a quick call to the concierge, for a price.
Mind, if your numbers come up trumps on the euro millions you could buy that as your London pied-a-terre and still have plenty of money left for a country pile somewhere scenic.
