Wow 🤩 in my dreams…. If I had the money I would definitely buy.

Youhaveyourhandsfull · 06/12/2023 03:03

Well it's not a flat is it? It's 9,000 square feet of real estate in one of the most expensive parts of London. It's hideous.

RealBigBarbie · 06/12/2023 03:06

Your title is quite misleading!

Well it's not a flat is it? It's 9,000 square feet of real estate in one of the most expensive parts of London. It's hideous.

It's described as a five bedroom apartment.

When did flats suddenly become apartments?

I agree. I once went for drinks at the wanky bar in the Shard. Strong vibes of the same interior designer.

I have a challenge for mumsnetters. Find the most expensive flat you can, anywhere in the world.

It's near the tube at least

What's misleading about it. The link is for a £60 mill flat 🤷🏻‍♀️

KickAssAngel · 06/12/2023 03:33

All of the pictures are from the communal areas, none of them are the actual -flat-.

LittleMissSleepyUK · 06/12/2023 03:38

I wouldn’t without seeing photos of the flat itself!!! I wonder what they are hiding

FuckinghellthatsUnbelievable · 06/12/2023 04:27

It doesn’t really matter what the flat looks like inside. However gets it will pay an interior designer to redo the space for them. I bet the service charge is massive too.

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 06/12/2023 04:57

Don’t look how much the Odeon penthouse in Monaco is worth then!

ChateauDuMont · 06/12/2023 05:03

One Hyde Park is a major residential and retail complex located in Knightsbridge, London.
The development includes three retail units (Rolex, McLaren Automotive and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank) and 86 residential properties, with prices starting at around £15 million, and penthouses selling for almost £200 million, it is generally considered the most exclusive apartment building in the world.

Owners of residences at the address have included Rinat Akhmetov, Kylie Minogue,9] Amirkhan Mori, Alexander Ponomarenko, Vladimir Stolyarenko, Vladimir Uzun, Temur Akhmedov (the son of Farkhad Akhmedov) and the Candy brothers.[

Normally, rich individuals from overseas who have acquired their wealth through nefarious sources and need to launder their money to have an 'asset'.

KingofCats · 06/12/2023 05:09

Pictures are awful !

MissingMoominMamma · 06/12/2023 05:17

If I was selling my 60 million pound flat, I’d expect the estate agent’s photos to at least be clear!

swingtowin · 06/12/2023 05:37

About the same price in Singapore but very small and underwhelming....

I love a bit of property envy. But I have to say, I would pay NOT to live there. Presumably the entire block is empty most of the time anyway. What miserable place to live.

tribpot · 06/12/2023 06:07

Why is such an expensive property even on Rightmove?? This is surely not how the uber-wealthy buy and sell property. Pictures 3 and 5 might be of the flat itself? If so, it looks awful.

Good point, well made! Got to be practical.

PricklyPear1234 · 06/12/2023 06:21

I can't imagine what the service charge is!!!!

salamirose · 06/12/2023 06:29

It's got 5 bedrooms and is in a fancy bit of London. So possibly a family of a diplomat? Or someone who has an entourage?

Or this

salamirose · 06/12/2023 06:31

Plus it has a wine cellar

Pomonas · 06/12/2023 06:46

If I had that kind of money. I would never buy a flat in that building with the neighbours you get there. Hell not! Dodgy and tacky 😝

At first I read £60.000 and the photo of the outside looked similar to the help to buy you get in London these days. However, it would never be in Knightsbridge of course.
