Can you share where it was from, roughly how much it cost (a bracket if you like) and whether you're happy with it...

We need ours done and feeling totally overwhelmed by the options, cost and fear of spending so much and making a bad choice...

Our fitted kitchen was from TKC Kitchens and honestly we are so please with everything from start to finish. We had gotten a couple of quotes and just emailed it to them and they beat the price from Howdens and Wren by over £1500 ours cost just under £6k this included fitting. Best tip is to email them your existing quote that you want them to beat at the end of the month their sales guy let slip that when they need to hit targets before the end of the month they give better discounts!

The thread had jumped 18months in time. Prices have risen.

We had one done in autumn 2024. Solid timber doors from DIY kitchens including full height cupboards, drawers, wall and floor units and corner units - medium size kitchen without island = £5.5k.

Laminate worktop - about £800. Tiles and cupboard handles - about £200. Radiator £175.

Bought new dishwasher, oven, hob, extractor and fridge freezer for about £1.5k. We bought new floor for about £700.

Kitchen fitter was about £8.5k to remove old kitchen, remove tiles and all plaster, re-plaster and do some basic electrics including spotlights, and fit kitchen and appliances. They also fitted new floor and plumbed in radiator.

We bought a new wooden back door for £1.5k and paid £800 to have it fitted.

We decorated ourselves.

It was about £20k total.
