I'd it really annoying having a draining board on the left? ( for right handed people)

We are installing a bowl and a half sink into our temporary kitchen (should have to last a6 months to a year) and the draining board if kept on the right would have to go over the join of the worktops. Do any of you right handers have a draining board on the left and if so, does it drive you nuts?

Mine is on the right, and I'm right handed. It suits the room better that way. About 18months ago we got a new sink, and I chose to change it around. Got used to it really quickly. (and use the dishwasher more anyhow).

Not at all - it doesn't make a jot of difference !

I do and its totally fine.

The only rule is that if you have a dishwasher to the side of your sink, the drainer shouldn't be on the same side as the dishwasher. (Because it's far more convenient to stack dirty stuff right above the dishwasher, on the opposite side to the drainer.)

In some ways as a right hander I prefer the drainer on the left, but in my kitchen the dishwasher is beneath that space and it drove me crackers when dirty crockery was stacked above it on and among the washed up dishes. Kitchen now has drainer on the right away from dishwasher.

I have one on the left and I’m right handed. Have never thought about it tbh- it’s fine!

That. Just realising I'm the only rt-handed one left in the house (!) The other righties moved out.

Mine is on the right AND above the dishwasher 😱.

I have absolutely never found it awkward - when emptying dishwasher, the things that are a little damp still go on the draining board so having it abo e the dishwasher seems like the sensible place!

Actually never thought about it before but my draining board is on the left, as it was in my previous house, also the house I grew up in!

Mine is on the left as well. Never thought about it!
