Well this kitchen is certainly ‘vibrant’!

Browsing unaffordable homes whilst trying to get to sleep and came across this one. Pic 8 does suggest shades are required in the kitchen area Grin

There is a picture on a dining room wall of presumably the Mum and two kids - I can't believe this hasn't been blurred like photos on walls are in most real estate listings I've seen.
They are clearly recognizable (although probably less pink in real life)

Happyoldbat · 17/08/2021 07:31

The outside is lovely, but the inside is the most hideous interior I’ve ever seen. Why do people do this to old houses? It’s tragic and makes me quite angry. All the character of a beautiful house has been destroyed forever. If you like this sort of thing, why not just buy a modern house in the first place?

Couchbettato · 17/08/2021 07:38

It's giving me proper My Parents Are Aliens vibes

ConkerBonkers · 17/08/2021 07:42

That's a great house. Fab layout. I think if I had 3.5 mill I would be able to afford new kitchen cabinet fronts and a painter so the colours are not really a concern imo.

DrCoconut · 17/08/2021 07:42

At least it's not dull grey with garden sofas, there's a lot of imagination gone into it. I quite like it, though agree that ultra modernisation of period properties is better avoided.

sashh · 17/08/2021 07:46

Is it a version of the big brother house?

Toooldforthis321 · 17/08/2021 07:51

I'm surprised only one person has mentioned the sofa. Who knew things like that could be made! It looks like a big cinema seat / gaming sofa thing.

Sleepyquest · 17/08/2021 07:55

Hideous. Imagine having all that money and no taste

itsgettingwierd · 17/08/2021 07:56

@ChequerBoard

Somewhere under all that hideous decor is a lovely house struggling to get free...
Agree.

The layout is amazing and it's a great size without being too big.

I love the purple bedroom.

But I think I'd have to change the lime green 🤣

LavenderAskew · 17/08/2021 07:56

I like the man sat on the couch (watching TV) that you get a glimpse of from the hall during the virtual tour

What strick me is despite it being a big house there's not a lot of storage - or storage used. One room had extension leads and wires everywhere. In a house that size I'd hope for adequate power points at least.

Itself certainly colourful anyway!! You think the bright coloured car is fhiers too?

Wimowehwimowehwimowehwimoweh · 17/08/2021 08:03

tastefully transformed by the current owners in 2010

Grin

It looks like it belongs to a children’s tv presenter.

MikeWozniaksGloriousTache · 17/08/2021 08:05

It’s better than half the shite that is posted as on trend on here, but still somehow clinical and lacking in personality despite the colours.

I absolutely love colourful houses and love the colour of the units in the kitchen, and it is much better than MN grey or some ludicrous Farrow and Ball overpriced shite paint imo.

NiceTwin · 17/08/2021 08:06

That reminds me, Changing Rooms is starting again this week Grin

Nice on the outside, the inside I couldn't live with.

Terhou · 17/08/2021 08:06

Living there would give me a migraine. If I were to buy it I'd have to knock half a mill off for putting in some interior walls and complete redecoration.

Actually, if I had £3 million to spare I think I'd expect to be getting substantially more for my money, so I'd give it a miss anyway.

dottydodah · 17/08/2021 08:07

The whole house is eye popping! Im a magnolia /white person with that to look at would need shades on 24/7!

NeverTalkToStrangers · 17/08/2021 08:09

Blimey what an amazing house, but so little storage.

Disfordarkchocolate · 17/08/2021 08:10

@ChequerBoard

So true, it looked gorgeous from the outside.
DoTheNextRightThing · 17/08/2021 08:10

Oh I love it 😂 I love ridiculously colourful decor.

TheGenealogist · 17/08/2021 08:12

It's just paint. Apart from the green kitchen - which I don't mind really - the place is entirely white with a painted wall in each room. Very easy to change.

The whole place is soul-less and lacking in personality though, the "white with a bright colour" has been replicated in every room and it's just awful.

DancesWithTortoises · 17/08/2021 08:12

I was thinking at least there's no grey but then there was. The worst of all worlds.

intothewoodss · 17/08/2021 08:17

It's the £3m+ price tag and the bottle of Tresemme in the shower that gets me

TheGenealogist · 17/08/2021 08:20

Yeah I just don't look at south of England prices as they are so out of the box.

For £3.25 million in central Scotland you could get a castle. A proper, literal castle.

GnomeDePlume · 17/08/2021 08:24

I think the colour filter was set to 'stun'

SpeckledlyHen · 17/08/2021 08:24

Proof that money doesn’t buy class.

leafygarden42 · 17/08/2021 08:39

Reminds me of a ferry

Yup - you got that right.
