How would you do up this tiny bathroom

DP and I are buying a new house. It's not big, very small rooms but we think it could be really lovely all the same. It has one shower room, we are going to knock through into a cupboard beside it to make it just slightly bigger so we can have a bath with a shower over it. As it's such a small space we really want to make it look as nice as possible. I've been looking online for ideas of shower/baths that look quite slick/contemporary but struggling to find much so thought I'd turn to the imaginations/image search skills of mumsnet for some help.

I was in your position - buying ready for a new first baby, but then the 5 months we thought had dwindled to less than one due to vendor delays.

We rushed to change the bathroom because it was pretty tatty and it really felt like a priority to me. It was very stressful. The result was better cosmetically, but not an effective improvement.

In comparison, when my eldest was 10 months old, we had an extension build, a new kitchen and the hall/stairs/landing taken back to the brick and replastered. That was stressful, but so much easier to plan effectively and manage (even with PND) than the bathroom. The results are miles better, because we had lived in the house a little while and understood what we needed better.

If you can bear it, wait. Within a year I knew how I would have made our bathroom so much better.

I have a tiny bathroom and when I renovated it I was similarly looking for decor ideas (and coming up empty). What I ended up doing was putting in a shorter acrylic bath along one wall with shower over, matching panel, fairly big white tiles with dark grey grouting, curved corner sink with vanity, and vinyl tile effect flooring. Painted the walls a pebble grey, but am now considering a brighter colour. The whole room is whiter than I usually go for, but it's such a small space I can cope Grin
I've just added a black rimmed circular mirror and a metal fish decoration on the wall opposite the bath. Luckily the loo is in a different room so I didn't have to fit that in too.

Oh, and I put dark blue metro sized tiles for the splashback on the sink which complement the blue and white floor

Not a great photo as it's too small a room to get a decent one!
