Holy Grey House Batman

It would be like the film, Pleasantville.

Can't you leave a message and ask him?

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 12/07/2021 14:50

Sorry, wrong thread Hmm

lettie9 · 12/07/2021 14:52

What the actual f - my eyes were freaked out by that!

Sunny4876 · 12/07/2021 14:53

Omg I thought they had purposely done black and white photos in the beginning.
Made my eyes funny.

Blue5238 · 12/07/2021 14:54

If it wasn't for the bowl of fruit you'd think they had uploaded black and white photos by mistake!

Souther · 12/07/2021 14:54

Very weird.

Cant believe people actually live like that

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 12/07/2021 15:07

I would sink into a major depression as soon as I walked in the door.

Kona84 · 12/07/2021 15:14

I think they have purposefully done black and white then selective colouring on a couple of elements per photo.
The whites are not white- they are muddy grey. And there is a photo in the bedroom where the whites change from grey scale to white

PhillipPhillop · 12/07/2021 15:18

Yes, not real but why have they done it? It made me feel depressed looking at them!

FoofOfTheWalkingDead · 12/07/2021 15:36

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor, I would like to! Grin
I'll be interested to see how long it's on the market for. Things around here go like hotcakes mostly.

Those are black and white photos with a recolour on certain items. The estate agent isn't doing them any favours

Persipan · 12/07/2021 17:25

I often find myself questioning the prevalent belief that making everything grey will be neutral, won't date and won't be offputting to anyone, and right here we have exhibit A...

senua · 12/07/2021 17:34

Even the "garden" is grey.
Depressing.Sad

mklanch · 12/07/2021 19:39

there are so many houses like this...ones im convinced are in black and white until i see something colourful (like a sock)
unhappy people must live in a house like this. these is no colour for mind stimulation and happiness
ill be glad when this horrible grey trend is over

umbel · 12/07/2021 19:48

Horrible! Why would they think that would help to sell?

I saw this similar style shot in a listing locally which makes the house look like it’s escaped a forest fire. Really off-putting. Thankfully, the other shots looked normal.

That fruit bowl was working overtime

Emmelina · 13/07/2021 07:48

It has no soul, at all.

MzHz · 13/07/2021 08:07

Oh god the repression! Can you imagine living next door?

LopsidedWombat · 13/07/2021 11:05

I've seen a number of all grey properties while house hunting over the past year or so. It put me off of a few that otherwise ticked boxes because everything was brand new and done to a good standard so was reflected in price and would be a waste to change it but totally grey in every room!

pastabest · 13/07/2021 11:13

It's greyscale photos with colour retouch. The house interior is presumably a normal colour in real life.

Given the rest of houses for sale on the Estate Agents website look to have normal photos from the brief sample I've looked at I suspect these photos have been taken by the owner not the EA.

Just had another look

Those pics aren’t grey scale. I can see green hedges through the blinds, there’s a school photo behind a lamp on left hand side of lounge image.

This is real!

Greenhillfaraway · 14/07/2021 08:22

I’d agree, those are real pictures - and that is a dreary house as a result.

FoofOfTheWalkingDead · 14/07/2021 10:33

I think the pictures are real too. It would be so depressing to live there. And the outside, with acres of gravel and grey slabs, is pretty depressing too. Why? Scotland is grey and rainy for a good 8 months of the year, we need colour!

Why is it called a villa?
