I'd love honest feedback please! Would you buy this house? If not, why not? www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-88586941.html

You could transform the front and add lawn and borders etc The back could be redesigned, lowering that deck/patio area. Depends on your budget to do that but it could be gorgeous

Covidcorvid · 03/02/2021 19:24

No. It’s not just the smallness of the backyard but it’s so overlooked. I could cope with a tiny, walled courtyard thing but that’s quite horrible.

Nohairofcourseicare · 03/02/2021 19:27

Not for me I’m afraid. It’s absolutely soulless. It’s all down to personal taste though and I’m sure it’ll be someone’s cup of tea.

WhatWouldZenoDo · 03/02/2021 19:27

I would! Good house for that money.

Aiaiaicorona · 03/02/2021 19:29

The house itself is absolutely lovely OP. The only off putting bit for me is the lack of garden (I like grass) and the front could be greener with a hedge, lawn and borders but not sure if that’s because of access to the other house?

Avondklok · 03/02/2021 19:29

No. It looks cold and clinical and there's no garden. Don't like the kitchen at all.

MiriamMargo · 03/02/2021 19:46

no its got no garden

MiriamMargo · 03/02/2021 19:46

and its so dull and has no warmth to it

Runnerduck34 · 03/02/2021 19:49

Personally I wouldn't as the garden small and is all concrete/ hard surfaces.
But thats just my preference, inside the house looks lovely

whataboutbob · 03/02/2021 19:51

I was going to say yes, the decor is not to my taste but the house looks sound. Then I saw how horrendously overlooked by blocks of flats it is, and there is no real garden to speak of, just a yard. It would be like living in the Truman show.

MessAllOver · 03/02/2021 20:23

Not without a spare £35k to sort out some of the issues. It doesn't seem like there's a downstairs loo, so much downstairs space is wasted by corridors, there's not a lot of headroom in the loft bedroom and not a bit of lawn in sight in the garden (which tbh, is a complete disaster - you could easily spend £15k landscaping it). Lovely house outside though and good size spacious rooms inside.

WildfirePonie · 03/02/2021 20:31

I'd have to put loads of bamboo in pots in the back garden for privacy!

Can you fence off the front and use that as a garden?

DennisTMenace · 03/02/2021 22:42

No. Being overlooked doesn't bother me. I am overlooked by lots of properties now and don't do anything that interesting in the garden anyway. I would do gardening though and clearly that's not possible at this place, no space. The sloping ceiling in the master bedroom would stop me using the whole top floor. Don't understand all the downstairs corridors on the floor plan, total waste of space. Dark brown wood with black and white kitchen and brown looking bathrooms very much not to my taste. But they look new, so couldn't justify replacing them.

biddybird · 04/02/2021 00:25

I'm confused by photo 10. Is it the opposite end of the master bedroom?

ThatDamnKrampus · 04/02/2021 00:30

The house is nice, real potential in it. The lack of garden would put me off though. 0

thriftyhen · 04/02/2021 18:18

The house appears low lying compared to the properties around it and looks damp (moss/green algae). The parking at the front, unless properly designated, could be a problem. The garden is completely overlooked and unless you plan to live there forever, I think it could make the house difficult to sell if you intend to move on.

eyespyy · 04/02/2021 23:43

It's beautiful. Unfortunately the garden would put me off but I love gardening! It really is a lovely home OP Smile

No, I wouldn't.

Too close to other houses, really crammed in. Tiny garden which is massively overlooked, it's semi-detached and I don't like the kitchen.

Seeingadistance · 05/02/2021 02:42

It seems over-priced as well, when you compare it to these two detached houses.

I'd wait. People usually start going on the market round about now.

junebirthdaygirl · 05/02/2021 02:59

Garden was putting me off until l saw it's in a National Park with great facilities. Not familiar with the area but if those facilities especially lots of walking areas are very accessible l would go for it. Although the kitchen is a bit strange.
