I really need to have a look down the back of my sofa to see if I can find two and a half million quid.

That boot room has given me the actual fanny gallops.

Gorgeous house, well done OP Grin

Hope my lottery numbers come up tonight...

bluecheesefan · 23/01/2021 17:24

Actually, with this one... I think I could just move straight in without having to do anything.

lol

Covidcovid · 23/01/2021 18:28

@WaldenintheWoods

Perfect house! I could slum it there Wink

Hold it! No, you're right. The boot room & utility are the wrong way round for me & no, you can't enter the boot room directly from outside as some of us thought. That's the loo! Confused

There’s an external door from the boot room to the outside......it’s the opposite end of the room from the loo? I think?
Covidcovid · 23/01/2021 18:28

Someone is going to have to go and have a viewing to settle this boot room door issue! Anyone local? 😆

Covidcovid · 23/01/2021 18:30

Here.

Thank God! There IS an external door to the boot room! We can buy it now! Phew! Grin

Starseeking · 23/01/2021 18:57

That is a beautiful house, I love the boot room and utility the most.

The boot room has a door to outside, directly opposite the door to the loo!

WaldenintheWoods · 23/01/2021 19:17

Oh fab, great spot by Covidcovid! Didn't spot that door at the other end of the room, was only looking at the one in the photo Grin

So we can all move in after all, phew!

Well done Op. Loved this. Will let you know if my offer is accepted Wink

Best boot room ever. Utility gets 9/10. For it to be perfect, it would be upstairs. Or at least have a laundry room upstairs. Almost everything you wash/dry/iron lives upstairs, so that's where the laundry room should be. I could overlook that though for the rest of the house though, its bloody beautiful.

partyatthepalace · 23/01/2021 19:31

It’s a lovely house, and that is a cool utility room. The decor is a bit naff country hotel though...

tappitytaptap · 23/01/2021 19:51

Love love love this! Apart from the light in photo 4, is that being picky 😂. Also disappointed by lack of ‘party barn’ photos

tappitytaptap · 23/01/2021 19:52

And agree on the boot room. Could actually hang all of my coats up and have shoe space - amazing.

CassandraCross · 23/01/2021 20:00

Yes please, love that house!

Few minor niggles but none that can't be overcome (the tin bath being one!).

Lightsabre · 23/01/2021 20:03

Am I right that it was bought for £1.1million in 2015? If so, that's a massive increase!

Covidcorvid · 23/01/2021 20:07

A friend of mine has a house with a party barn which is an amazing space. She also sensibly put her laundry room upstairs.

Parkermumma07 · 23/01/2021 20:09

Wow perfection

ChelseaCat · 23/01/2021 20:12

Beautiful house but horribly done!

Whoateallthechocolate · 23/01/2021 20:22

Is there a bathroom on the top floor where bedrooms 4, 5 & 6 are? All the bedrooms on the first floor are ensuite I think. It would be a bit of a trek if you needed a wee in the night!
That boot room, though, is just what I need.
What iI'd love to know is, if I could afford to buy it, would I still love it and have a big grin on my face when I got home a year later or would I just think about how long it would take to vacuum and how much it cost to heat?

Claphands · 23/01/2021 20:27

I’m buying that if I win the Lotto tonight , I could live happily there and it’s not a million miles (but far enough) from the in laws

No, the bathroom to the left of bedroom 3 on the first floor isn't ensuite. Bit of a pain not to have at least a loo on the second floor though.
JinglesWish · 23/01/2021 20:52

The facade is beautiful. I think it’s overpriced though. What’s with the unfinished wood. I’d rip out the kitchen, utility and bathrooms lol. I’d be expecting Tom Howley for the price

MaggieFS · 23/01/2021 22:15

Beautiful but too many staircases for me. Imagine having to track down children from bedrooms five, six and seven for dinner.

DIKateFleming · 24/01/2021 11:18

Could do with more bathrooms, but I’d buy it for the boot room alone. Is there a photo of the party barn? i quite fancy the idea of a party barn
