Walls in Farrow and ball, ceiling in Dulux

I posted this in interior decoration without much response so I am posting here as well, hope that’s ok.
We are repainting the living room in F&B Pointing. To save some £s we’re planning on painting ceilings in Dulux. Does that sound ok? And what kind of white would work with pointing? A cool white or something warmer? Thank you for any advice.

Sorry not sure what my auto correct did there (must remember to preview!) I meant ‘redo it or do another ceiling in the future’!

Than you PresentingPercy and SollaSollew. It’s too late for this room but I might well re visit this when I paint again. And hopefully this thread will be useful to others who are wondering the same things.

There is something about Farrow and Ball paint that makes the pigments. The depth of colour finish and the way it react to light you cannot really get with colour matches. They have a new dead flat matte that is scubbable and can be used on wood, walls and metal. If doing white or off white I always take the same colour up onto the ceilings too. Looks sooo good.

We have just done this with DS's room - whole thing in Pointing and it looks amazing. I'm actually surprised by how what seems to be a relatively straightforward white paint can have so much warmth and 'interest'. We've gone for stronger colours in the rest of the house, but part of me wishes we'd just covered the whole place in Pointing!

It looks amazing colour drenching I love it especially for smaller rooms. I hate seeing brilliant white ceilings and base boards now. For Light colours I always take up to the ceiling now. I’m about to do my hallway in F & B All white the down lights will make it just a tad creamier. I’ve been living with a cream that looks dingy and want something whiter now but soft. All white is still off white compared to brilliant white and white paper. Cant wait
