Just saw this house with a theme of GREEN Grin Shock merging seamlessly into a wood.

Love the owner's "there's never enough of green" mantra!

omg imagine if that house belonged to someone reading this thread?!!

An awkward, "ahem, that's my green house!".

I guess it's Rightmove and open to all. If it was me I would be flattered my house was spotted and interesting enough to post about! I would probably find these comments really useful too lol!!

Reese and strong yellow AND purple! they like it all one colur, all stong Grin,
but I think it's the plant abundance that makes the first green one a one-off - as Gypsy says.

Xnon I think it's ok as it's a 'good quirky'. I'd be mortified if my house was quoted and then decimated!

Years ago there was a BBC series about quirky home decoration and people's motivation. It's called Signs of the Times and you can see it on the iplayer archive.

I have a contender for quirkiest house: www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-98442029.html

Wow some amazing houses here!

Oliversmumsarmy · 18/10/2020 10:26

I hate the colour green . It would need a complete paint job before I moved in.

The Southampton house is beautiful but looks like it needs so much work.

WildCherryBlossom · 18/10/2020 12:59

Hahaha @larach If Barbara Cartland had a holiday cottage...! And then suddenly one grey bedroom. That must be the family rebel.

VirginiaWolverine · 18/10/2020 13:13

I really like the green house. I don't love the decor, but it feels far more cosy and magical than it looks from the outside. If I had who lived there, I'd enjoy visiting.

WildCherryBlossom · 18/10/2020 20:11

Absolutely @VirginiaWolverine I am sure

WildCherryBlossom · 18/10/2020 20:13

Ugh clicked post by mistake. @VirginiaWolverine wanted to agree that I would enjoy visiting the person in the green home.

Bluesheep8 · 19/10/2020 12:04

In the 7th pic of the green house, it looks as though someone's hiding in the coats hanging on the left hand side! I can see a face! Shock

Unsure if the living room on this one is shabby chic or unfinished DIY? espc.com/property/16-kenmure-avenue-edinburgh-eh8-7hd/35880229?sid=607072

I'm calling them Karen & Neil because there's a K&N sign in the living room.....
Karen: "Neil, will you move that damn bike out of the hall before the estate agent comes to take the photos?"
Neil: panic!

This looks like something my niece would dream up - she's in the "Pink and Glitter" Princess Phase

Roussette · 19/10/2020 18:12

@Xnon

'omg imagine if that house belonged to someone reading this thread?!!'

That happened once, I've been here forever and a poster once came on saying 'how dare you talk about my house like this...'.
I think it was true it was her house, she was incensed.

It was very embarrassing and everyone just slunk off ooops

Skittlebug · 20/10/2020 19:58

At least they have expanded their design spectrum past grey and crushed velvet. Rightmove in 2020 is where grey went to die.

haha, yes the Pink Kingdom with a wild element of a monkey swinging off a pole! Grin, and just a bit of grey here and there to give your eyes some rest.

K&N flat is a beaut though! I even love the little precise flowers over the bed!
