Just saw this house with a theme of GREEN Grin Shock merging seamlessly into a wood.

Love the owner's "there's never enough of green" mantra!

Goodness! It’s, er, busy, isn’t it? .

WildCherryBlossom · 09/10/2020 23:19

I really like the green home. It's very different to colour palettes I would use in my own home but I would enjoy visiting someone in that house. I like the atmosphere they have created that is totally unexpected from the front of the house. They have also had loads of fun with their topiary. I feel I would like the owners of that house.

FeckOffCup1 · 09/10/2020 23:22

The filter they’ve used on the green home makes it tricky to work out which photos are inside the house and which are of the garden - all the same shades of green and wood.

WildCherryBlossom · 09/10/2020 23:25

The second house, well it looks like they were quite wealthy in the mid 80s, decorated then and preserved it in aspic ever since

HerLadySheep · 09/10/2020 23:26

Why are there no pillows on any of the beds in the green house?

Kisforkaylied · 09/10/2020 23:31

Maybe they couldn't find the perfect shade of green!

Aquamarine1029 · 09/10/2020 23:41

@Kisforkaylied

Maybe they couldn't find the perfect shade of green!

I think they love every shade of green and tried to cram them all into one house. Grin

@ReeseWitherfork

I’ll be honest - once I seen the bookshelves I could forgive them anything.

gazes longingly

That's a lot of green and they seem to have been trying to create a flower with the fushia.

This one appears to have been decorated by all the family - some rooms by granny, some by someone with conservative test and some by someone who went wild with colour and wanted to try every new design possible:

That house wins hands down!
At least the green one has some pride! Grin

PlayingGrownUp · 10/10/2020 00:15

@KoalaRabbit

My husband and I have been having a discussion about it. Is it traditional with a twist (which I aim for), someone with a period property wishing it was modern or flat out old fashioned?

Personally there is noting that can’t be fixed with a Change or colour or decoration,.

CatAndHisKit · 10/10/2020 00:30

Koola hmmm it's one of those interiors that just doesn't make sense! almost like they've mixed up photos of two very different houses Grin

OP posts:
Standrewsschool · 10/10/2020 07:38

House number three has a warped sense of style - it’s as if every member of the house got to design a room in their style - whether it would be traditional, country cottage, modern, minimalist. Is that a camel I see in one picture? Also, why are the pictures of the lovely log cabin dotted through out the photos - surely it would make mor sense to group them together.

KoalaRabbit · 11/10/2020 00:03

Yes think it is a camel, didn't notice that before. Grin

Scarby9 · 11/10/2020 00:08

@KoalaRabbit
I think the technical term is eclectic.

Scarby9 · 11/10/2020 00:09

Other adjectives are available.

CatAndHisKit · 11/10/2020 01:48

Camel features in two photos, he's an important design element Grin

OP posts:
KoalaRabbit · 11/10/2020 02:05

Didn't notice the second camel apperance but yes he's there - love the photo of just gold radiator and camel - would have thought that's quite a niche target market of people wanting a camel and gold radiator but it has now sold so they must exist. Smile

MissMarplesHandbag · 11/10/2020 02:22

And the random bike! What’s that all about?

GypsyRoseGarden · 11/10/2020 07:07

I the green house - the outside garden is lovely - in fact, the house reminds me of an old doctor who episode where the plants came alive and engulfed a house ... it does look like the garden came alive and took over the inside of the house

GypsyRoseGarden · 11/10/2020 07:12

The second house has no redeeming qualities - I shall need time to recover

The third house appear to have the flint stones living in their garden

ReeseWitherfork · 11/10/2020 11:04

This one isn’t actually that quirky but stumbled across it and thought it another fantastic example of 50 shades of green:

Standrewsschool · 11/10/2020 12:28

@ReeseWitherfork

Certainly some bold paint choices!

RaininSummer · 11/10/2020 12:40

I really like the green house. Bold colours are excellent.

Branleuse · 11/10/2020 12:43

i love the green house
