3 bedrooms, only 1 bathroom. Would this put you off?

Sorry if this has been done before, but I'd really welcome thoughts on this. We viewed a house today which I really liked but it only has one bathroom (not even a separate downstairs toilet). It's not particularly a problem for me but I'm worried about selling on.

Would you be put off buying a house with only one bathroom?

Maybe it just depends on what you're used to - I can't imagine it being an issue for me. In a standard 3 bed home I would expect one bathroom unless there had been an extension relatively recently or it was a fairly new build.

I had 5 of us in a 3 bed house an 1 bathroom
Didn't do us any harm and I loved that house but needed a bigger one so moved !

It's fairly bog standard, tbh.

If you can see yourself living there a while but are concerned about booking work, at the moment, then this would give you ample opportunity to live with the house as it is and work out what would really improve it.

If you consider building work, it might be worth considering a lootility with laundry facilities, loo and a shower for grubby dogs and humans. We lived in a terrace with only a downstairs bathroom for many years and it was really handy to be able to usher wet or muddy boys straight into the bathroom.

For a standard 3 bed, i'd prefer to have a downstairs toilet or at least the option to fairly easily create one, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker (& wasn't - my last house was 3 bed / 1 bathroom)
