Would you have an ikea hemnes 6 drawer chest in your living room?

Trying to find some kind of sideboard to fit in an alcove 118 cm wide in my living room/dining room.

Mainly to hold odd bits of paperwork and some toys .

Could I get away with this? Or is it too bedroomy?

www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/hemnes-chest-of-6-drawers-white-20374277/

Would probably change the knobs on it .

Any other suggestions- everything else I’ve found seems to be 150cm wide plus And it wouldn’t fit!

Thanks

I think I’m going to have to resort to a kallax on its side in front of the chimney breast .

Nothing else can store toys quite like it!

I’m going to put it on some hair pin legs though to jazz it up a bit and will just have to wait the few years until the sheer volume of toys decreases!

Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions!

I think a chest of drawers in a living/ dining room looks nice but ikea drawers are a bit rubbish if you put too much in them. You could have a look on eBay, older furniture comes in all sorts of odd sizes so you might get something that fits perfectly but Is more sturdy. Also the added bonus of Possibly getting a bargain!

I think it would look ok but not sure it would be strong enough if you were to cram in a lot of heavyish stuff.
