Where to live for Epsom College?

My DD is accepted to Epsom College for Y7. I work in Chiswick where would be the best area to live? I am thinking near the college and I can take the train to work. What are the nice areas to buy nearby Epsom College (maybe bus ride away) and also accessible to Chiswick?

Thanks

Didn’t you do your research before accepting school place?

@orchardgreen good question. Had a few other schools on the list that were higher in order of preference . This materialised... I am still thankful, I hear Epsom college is a good school and perhaps this is for the best, it gets us away from expensive and congested London. I now need to find a location that caters for working parents and a DD in Epsom College and a teenager soon. So access to public transport is key. Honestly the research was focused on schools. One thing I didnt know was the lack of bus system. I am trying to avoid driving as I don't like it at all but I also know our daughter will need a good access to public transport later. Hope this explains the situation.

Hi there. Our son is attending Epsom this Aug/Sept. All homework is completed at school from 5:10pm-6pm when the bus picks them up. We live in Thames Ditton and they have buses swing by and pick up the children. It is a long day 7:20am-6:45/7pm but all maths and English are completed in the morning lessons.

The houses in TD are expensive. A 5bed house is around £1m-1.6m for the busier roads. It has great connections from esher/Surbiton and TD though. Best of luck with your search. We are over the moon to have our son attend EPSOM.

Good luck

Hi thank you. Still searching in Epsom, hear TD is great but since we re searching we might as well be near the school.

Thank for the encouraging notes re Epsom.

@oliv34 where did you end up moving? Epsom College has extensive school bus coverage of SW London / Surrey, did you go for that option?
