Shocking composite door cost

First time buying a new front door. Wanted a nice composite door but shocked at the prices I’m being quoted. Have you had one supplied and fitted? How much did it cost? We were told whoever fits the front door must be fensa certified (fensa website also states this) therefore buying a door and fitting it ourselves is not an option. REALLY need your experience guys. Need to make a decision ASAP. X

@Happyspud - I lost the 🤣🤣 after my comment to you! Sorry.

£1100 for door 2 side panels Inc fitting. Non fensa registered installation as chap is self employed. Just ring council pay £65 quid to certify the work. Actually it's better than any self certification scheme in my opinion.

We were quoted around £900 by independant double glazing companies. We went with UPVC in the end due to cost as we were having to replace everything and I wish we'd paid a bit more and got the composite now.

My local company whom i have used before and who are very good are doing Rockdoors fully fitted with glass as required for £995

I had a Solidor for a rental house around 5 years ago and it was £1350. Had extra hardware and not their cheapest door either. It replaced a thin wooden Edwardian style one. Some people opposite had cheaper composite doors and they didn’t look so good. I would pay a bit more for a decent product.

I was quoted around £2000 I think. I went for UPVC at £1000 and am very happy with it.

You only need fensa certificate if the door has more than 50% glazing.

£850 in the North
