@Emms80 what advice do you require? How to get a mortgage?

BlueSkiesLies · 07/03/2019 07:58

I thought the guideline was no more than 30%?

Depends on the absolute income number as well.

30% of £1000 means you’ll struggle to pay for utilities, council tax, food etc and live an ok life.

50% of £10k means you’ve still got plenty of disposable income.

17% of our monthly income. Both working full time, 3 kids in school....

30% of take home. Quite tight but will be much better once our daughter starts school in September. Nursery is nearly as much as mortgage!

SarahBeeney · 07/03/2019 12:48

33%

About 15% but we overpay it to around 40%.
