My houe listing has gone live this afternoon (eek!) and is really appreciate some feedback. I've seen plenty of properties online to compare with and after a huge declutter (thanks Marie Kondo series!) and a deep clean we had the agents take some pics. Would love some feedback on how appealing (or otherwise!) it is.

I think it looks lovely. Really bright and spacious. Good luck.

Usually people ask for feedback when they’re not getting viewings or offers. This looks like self promotion

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 30/01/2019 13:53

Looks fine to me. No idea re pricing as I don’t know the area but it looks clean and tidy without being bland.

IAmALionTamer · 30/01/2019 13:54

It looks lovely - it really does. Good luck!

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 30/01/2019 13:58

Love the blue tiles.

MrsPatmore · 30/01/2019 14:03

It's a lovely house with lots of character and potential to knock through to make a kitchen diner. On at over £200,000 more than five years ago! I don't know the area but that's similar to the London price rises.

WeeDangerousSpike · 30/01/2019 14:15

Looks lovely op. I can't see anything to put anyone off, but I can't see what you have got planning for? A proposed floor plan would be good.

I think the photos are fine, but you asked so If I had to change anything I would have a little more colour in the master? Bedroom (pic5) maybe a nice throw or blanket across the bed in a darker blue than the rest of the room, the pic looks a little washed out.

Same for the dining room area. The wall to the right is very white and empty. A vase of flowers or the table laid up with pops of colour from napkins or a runner could bring the space to life a little more. I'd also center the table to the patio doors rather than the walls, it looks a little pushed to one side and makes it look a little like a thoroughfare to the garden instead of a room in its own right.

The nursery maybe take a few of the clothes of the rail so it looks less full and like there's plenty of storage space.

It's a shame the outside photo has so many shadows, but I expect that's the time of year and nothing to be done about that. The angle is good though.

WineIsMyCarb · 30/01/2019 14:21

Amazing feedback, thanks everyone. And thanks DonDrapers for the clicky link.
Yes MrsPatmore we've been really lucky, but also the place was somewhat .... tired Shock when we bought it (orange gloss kitchen, blown plaster in every room, the full works!)
I will definitely do some 'dressing' of the family room WeeDangerous, thanks for that.
Now just need to keep it clean and tidy every day with baby and preschooler... piece of cake!

Really lovely looking kitchen, living space and bathrooms. I think the second reception/dinning room lets it down because it’s not as nicely presented as the other rooms. Get rid of the plates on the wall (distracting), set the table for a dinner party (nice plates and some flowers maybe) and hang some curtains then retake the photo. Likewise the master bedroom is fine but if you dress it like a hotel bed it would fit the downstairs so much more.

Truckingonandon · 30/01/2019 14:32

Love the bathroom but I am just agog at the price! It's a perfectly nice, ordinary semi in Bristol and it's nearly £600k . I mean, I'm sure Bristol is super but really? REALLY????

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 30/01/2019 14:37

Very nice.
I would suggest that the agent swaps round the order of the photos of the back garden. The first photo makes it look quite small but later ones makes it clear that its a good size. You don't want any reason to put people off

Racecardriver · 30/01/2019 14:41

Maybe get rid of the green cushions in the living room? Otherwise very well presented.

BringMeTea · 30/01/2019 14:46

That will be snapped up OP. Yup, that really IS a reflection of Bristol prices.

TheRhythmlessMan · 30/01/2019 15:39

Wondering if the garden is as big as the pics make it seem. Disappointing when as a viewer I've gone to see plots that are smaller than I'd imagined.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 30/01/2019 15:49

Lovely!

whatsthecomingoverthehill · 30/01/2019 16:05

It looks very nice. Looking at other houses in the area there are some at a similar price point, but then there is this and this which are close by and seem to offer better value. But there might be nuances on the exact location that I don't know about.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 30/01/2019 16:26

I love the pics of the front room and the bathroom - both absolutely stunning. I would not remove the green cushions - they add to the effect of it being a well-presented room. Plus I love that grey and chartreuse look. I would view the house on the basis of those two rooms and the garden.

I am less keen on the kitchen because it looks a bit clinical and it's a bit of a weird shape, and the master bedroom looks tired compared to the front room/bathroom. Can you posh it up a bit for viewings?

WineIsMyCarb · 30/01/2019 17:36

Off I head to tkmaxx for a posh throw for my master bedroom! Thanks everyone.
I will definitely take the plates down then Gemme and I'm sure I've got a tablecloth in the cupboard somewhere - off I go to rootle around for one!

I love it, only thing I don’t like and you are on to it is the bed with the crumbled duvet which needs a nice bedspread and a good smooth out. A colour to bring the copper light fittings together with the rest of the room.

Also shocked at the `Bristol prices but the house is lush.

MrsMoastyToasty · 30/01/2019 17:56

One or two of the rooms are a bit too white and clinical for my taste. Maybe add something with a bit of colour.
To a previous poster who mentioned the price. Yep, that's typical for a "naice" part of Bristol, and Henleaze is very "naice". Bristol often falls in the top 10 most expensive places to live in the UK.

LoniceraJaponica · 30/01/2019 18:06

I like the white and clinical look. I think it is a lovely house, but I am Shock at Bristol prices. In our village in South Yorkshire we have a 4 bedroom detached house with 4 bathrooms, lounge, kitchen/diner, snug, utility room, office, double garage, plenty of off road parking and a garden. A ll for the princely sum of £595k.

Buteo · 30/01/2019 21:13

I would swap the photo order into a walk through of the property - it’s a bit muddled at the moment. Maybe some more photos of the kitchen?

Your garden furniture looks a bit stranded in the middle of the garden too.

MyNameIsJane · 30/01/2019 21:27

Why are you moving?! It’s lovely!

clary · 30/01/2019 21:37

I agree, looks lovely, but I would reorder the photos as it jumps around a bit at the mo, so go living room, dining, kitchen, loo then upstairs, the garden, and put in another kitchen photo as well. The one you have makes it look a very irregular shape but I assume this is due to the fisheye lens all EAs seem to favour.
