Looks well presented, nice not to be overlooked at the back too. I would guess that it’s chain free, which would be a plus. It has been on since May, and price was dropped from £325k to £300k in June. Personally, I’m not very keen on OIEO prices, the agents website lists it as guide price.

There are a couple of larger semis in Lyndon Way for slightly more that give more space, and another well presented terrace on the same road for a similar price on since August.

TokyoSushi · 09/11/2018 10:06

Nice, looks smart. What are all of those plug sockets on the wall in one of the earlier pictures? Kitchen looks a bit dark, it looks very small and I'm not keen on OIEO

But I think that should sell fairly quickly, probably to a couple/professional rather than a family.

Racecardriver · 09/11/2018 10:08

Bathroom shot is weird.
What is that blue thing on the ceiling in the kitchen?
There are a few wires sticking out here and there.
Take a picture of the garden at a different time of day/on a cloudy day so it doesn’t look so dark.

Buteo · 09/11/2018 10:09

Might suit a young family - not teenagers though, with just the one bathroom / loo.

Guess all the plug sockets are for TV / PlayStation / Skybox etc?

LovesLaboursLost · 09/11/2018 10:35

That bathroom shot is really odd, I feel like the toilet is going to eat me. Other than that, there’s not a lot you can do, it looks fine. If you need to sell then you need to lower the price.

Buteo · 09/11/2018 10:46

What is that blue thing on the ceiling in the kitchen?

Dust cover over smoke detector?

MessySurfaces · 09/11/2018 12:10

If it's not selling empty you could try dressing it- just the basics, sofa, beds, dining table and chairs, plain and nicely arranged with flowers etc.
Small (but not tiny!) furniture will make it look bigger.

wishingitwasfriday · 09/11/2018 13:14

A list of rooms sizes would be good. Personally I don't like the lighting in the ground floor rooms. The photos seem to be taken from the floor, which I personally think looks a bit weird.
Can't comment on price as I'm not from that area but I imagine it would suit a small family.

BubblesBuddy · 09/11/2018 13:21

If that is a smoke detector in the kitchen it will be going off all the time. Few houses come on the market on this estate. Therefore difficult to price. It’s terraced so I would only expect one bathroom.

Are you selling it or buying it OP?

flypow · 09/11/2018 13:49

Sorry I am potentially buying!

All I can think of is how hard it will be to heat downstairs in the winter.

orangina01 · 09/11/2018 14:33

I wouldn't worry about it being hard to heat, the whole house is not even 800 sq feet. It'll warm up in no time! The thing in the kitchen might be a heat detector/sensor not a smoke detector, we have one.

Andtheresaw · 09/11/2018 14:49

It isn't the end of the row, so that isn't wild land next door. Is the NDN cultivating a bamboo plantation? I suspect you'll be digging that up from your garden a lot. Otherwise it looks in clean move-in-able condition, presuming you have visited and the finishes are done properly?
Go for it.

Kamma89 · 09/11/2018 15:36

Decor wise, overall quite plain so you could put your stamp on it. Bathroom is very dated & the kitchen splashback/tiles are grim. Agree would suit a couple or young family best.

Kamma89 · 09/11/2018 15:37

Forgot to mention the wall of sockets is very odd, and there are so many lights downstairs I'd worry it might be very dark

flypow · 09/11/2018 16:05

We are a young family of Mum , dad , and 2 preschoolers

PickAChew · 09/11/2018 16:15

Small but with a sensible layout, downstairs, so you don't have cramped little rooms. I like that it has a separate hallway, so no having to tiptoe around when the kids are in bed. Not a lot of storage but you could probably get a whole load of pax into one of the kids' bedrooms.

The kitchen walls are weird.

LadyLapsang · 09/11/2018 18:21

Nearest schools look good apart from primary progress in writing. Have you checked the risk of flooding given you appear very near to a number of rivers.

Beebumble2 · 09/11/2018 19:44

Too open plan for me. Convenient for keeping an eye on the children, but everything ( clutter) will be on show.
Access to stairs too open re noise in the evening.
I’m being over critical.

Beebumble2 · 09/11/2018 19:46

Oops just seen there’s a door to the hall and stairs. Photo looks like an open area!

Buteo · 09/11/2018 21:54

No flooding issues on the EA flood risk map.

Tobuyornot99 · 09/11/2018 22:04

Looks like you could get a semi for the same price, which is a no brainer IMO

goldinthemtherestars · 09/11/2018 22:36

Is it north facing? Looks like the garden will be in permanent shade near the house.

SusieQ5604 · 09/11/2018 22:42

Close toilet lid

Lucisky · 10/11/2018 08:34

The bamboo next door would be a major red flag for me. You can see it has had to be cut back for the new fence. It won't be long before that is growing in your garden as well.
