I am incapable of ever relaxing about anything. Is anyone able to talk some sense into me?

House went live on Rightmove on Monday evening. I think the EAs have done a good job on the listing.
Since then I’ve heard nothing.

I was hoping to have a few viewings this weekend.
I am on RM multiple times per day and I usually ring to view a potential good one within 24 hours at most.
Am I unusual? Do people only check RM weekly or is my house undesirable? I’m getting worried we’ll sit on the market for months now.
Not sure what I’m asking. The market seems quite good around here...

Gorgeous house! If it was where I’m looking to buy I’d certainly view it. I’m sure it will sell!

Disclaimer: I know nothing about the area!

Furano · 09/05/2018 15:49

Well I think that is just lovely! Hope you sell soon.

Huffinpuff · 09/05/2018 16:35

Quirky, plus your Rightmove page has a link to this very similar house that sold for £50k less last autumn.

Huffinpuff · 09/05/2018 16:36

...by similar I mean on the same street and same size/number of bedrooms/garden.

pigpoglet · 09/05/2018 16:40

OMG that's a lovely house , I'd happily swop it for my new build in the south for the same money 🙄🙄🙄... I can't imagine it's overpriced ?

PickAChew · 09/05/2018 16:53

Gorgeous house. Glad to see you have some viewings booked now but do near in mind that the pool of people looking for a £600k house is much smaller than a more average £250k house.

Vitalogy · 09/05/2018 16:56

Lovely OP.
Is it detached? I may have missed it though.

I get notifications most days as I have my preference programmed in to Rightmove and Zoopla.

Ooh, that is my dream house - literally looking to move out out of Birmingham in a couple of years, and hunting already! Though my personal budget won't be that high, I think it's in line with south commuter Birmingham/naice areas.

Furano · 09/05/2018 19:37

@Huffinpuff that is quite a different proposition. I’m kinda keener on modern like the one you linked to but lots of people like charm and features.

Pardalis · 09/05/2018 22:37

It's so pretty!! Would love to see what you're moving into next if you don't want to live here anymore!!!

wowfudge · 09/05/2018 23:30

Has it really increased in value by £170k in 6 years? It's beautiful though OP.

Donotbequotingmeinbold · 09/05/2018 23:38

It's really nice. Too expensive for me and probably quite a few others so it may take a little longer to sell than a much cheaper house.

KingsHeathen · 10/05/2018 09:10

The problem is that there's a very small market for that area.
Most with that budget will want barnt green for the station.
I'd like it (and it's within our budget) but it's too far out for DH.
I think you need a picture showing the whole gardens, as it's quite difficult to see how they're laid out around the house. Perhaps a Photoshop job from Google maps?
I agree about showing where parking is too.
I love that area though, and your house is gorgeous!

Furano · 10/05/2018 10:32

Yes agreed a 'plot plan' is really useful showing house, garden and parking.

Until I read this thread I thought it was a mid terrace cottage ie. you were selling the bit in the middle .
That really needs clarifying in the details. It doesn’t say detached and the main photo is confusing, maybe because of the position of the hedge.
Gorgeous house though. I am sure it will sell quickly.

Vitalogy · 10/05/2018 17:57

It doesn’t say detached and the main photo is confusing That's what I was thinking too. OP hasn't been back since I don't think.

3weeksuntilwine · 10/05/2018 18:57

Thanks for all the feedback.
I’ve asked agent to amend the description to reflect the fact it’s detached.
They were gonna do a drone photo of the plot but the drone crashed and broke 🙄

It's lovely OP.

I am house hunting too and have set up alerts on Rightmove, Zoopla and OnTheMarket.

These alerts email me properties in my category as soon as they go online.

I do confess that I still check those three websites every day, just in case I've missed something!

Brittanyspears · 10/05/2018 20:01

I checked several times a day when searching. Make sure it comes up as detached in search results. Beautiful house btw. Remember your EA can see how many viewings its had on RM... prob gone up lods today ha!

CandyMelts · 10/05/2018 20:07

God that's gorgeous, dream house OP - would love to see where you're going next!?

3weeksuntilwine · 10/05/2018 20:36

Bloody nowhere at the mo! Can’t find anything we like!

OP posts:
Mosaic123 · 10/05/2018 21:28

Snap. Nowhere to move to at the moment.

maymai · 11/05/2018 07:16

Beautiful house, good luck with the viewings. The only thing that would put me off is the bedrooms, having to walk through one to get to the other.

Monkeybunkey · 11/05/2018 09:23

Lovely house, as pps have said. One thing I noticed on the photos (having had one myself) - is that a Saniflo loo in the main bathroom? That would put me off (I had mine removed as soon as I could).
