Help me plan my teeny tiny bathroom

Ok, so our 3 bed house has the world's smallest bathroom. So small in fact that the door can't fully open and opens onto the bath. We would like to keep a bath though.

Also, I am super keen not to take any space out of the back bedroom and get our tiny bathroom to work. Not many layout options unfortunately as it's a slightly odd shape.

So one solution is a folding door, BUT I HATE those bi fold doors on bathrooms with a passion. Sliding door not an option. Was contemplating knocking out the door frame and installing a slightly narrower door as literally every inch counts.

Is this a bad idea???

I'd love a pocket door but the door is not in the right place (see original diagram) so no option for that.

Screaming we have seen next door's and they have taken space out of the single back bedroom. We didn't really want to do that partly because of cost but also because it is already a pretty small room.

RemainOptimistic I have googled and like you said, can't actually find a narrower door in the right dimensions. You're right that it might by costly but I'll keep looking for now. Think I'd try a 70 though. 60 does feel weeny.

Fluffydogs* the bathroom is at the top of the stairs so I'm worried about sending small people flying when exiting the bathroom. Could be a bit mortifying for any guests
ShockHowever, am also thinking that this might be at least worth a trial period to see if it's liveable. It's by far the cheapest option!

Thanks for the advice everyone. A problem shared... some really great ideas from this thread.

Openup41 that sounds exactly like ours! Do not fear, I will rejig and then send you the photos so that you can once again fall in love with your bathroom. Ahem, maybe.

I am going to try rehanging the door first and seeing whether than is doable with the stairs. Seems sensible before spending too much money on a bathroom refit.

And like you said, eliminate all clutter and get everything off the floor. Wish me luck!

Swap door to open to wall. I did this and it's quite easy to do. Either inwards or out wards. I did it out on the kitchen and in on the bathroom

An offset corner bath us your friend here. Get a 90 by 150 one and put the long dimension in the long wall, shower above. Then loo and sink combo, possibly corner one, in the 70 odd cm left over on the shorter wall. We did this in our old very narrow bathroom and it transformed it.
