Pussin, Frescoed, Yoga, we are moving tomorrow the 30th, not today
It's been lots of finishing off of packing today - it's amazing how** much crap one packs into one's home!
But we are nearly there.
Congratulations and welcome to move day Pussin.
3 on one day in this group? Bring* it on! *
I must say you are really brave - exchange and complete same day. If you required a mortgage, how did you manage the drawdown? I had understood there is a five day drawdown requirement?
MrsJW15, it might be worth seeing if you can liaise directly with your buyer? We did that, and it helped speed up the process as we were both chasing our respective solicitors.
Frescoed I would love to say the boxes are my handiwork, but unfortunately no. The packers did make short work of the packing though.
KitKat, end of march next year is, in my opinion and experience, more than enough time to allow a move. Keeping my fingers crossed that it all progresses quickly and smoothly.
Now I am settling for an early night.
If it's helpful to anyone; we are taking our DD out of school to see the empty house, then taking her to see the new house as we move the first few boxes in. We will the take her to school, and pick her up aroud 5 (after school club). Our goal is that she sees and understands this the empty house is a move, she gets to pack her own last times before we move tomorrow. Then the new house so she goes to school from there, before coming home to it. But she will stay in after school club so we can have about 3 hours of unpacking without having to keep an eye out for her all the time.
I think I have gotten over my apprehension, we have today written our buyers a really lovely and thoughtful note (even if I say so myself ). It is the sort of note/letter that we wished we had when we moved in - plumbers, Gardeners, neighbours, utility suppliers, handyman, etc. And a bottle of champagne to welcome them to their new home.
We loved this house, are really sad to leave it, and hope they have the level of happiness that we had in it.
