Selling property - odd issue

We've put our house on the market at the price the agents suggested (and 15k lower than the highest valuation) so I don't think it's way out. However we've had no viewings. When the agents have been asking people the feedback is that they think it's an ex council house, I think because we are at the end of a long street - the other end is ex council but we are private. Any ideas on how we can advertise - I've got the deeds from when the house was built showing that it's definitely always been private but don't know how to promote this and the agent seems a bit stumped!

Morning Tweakie - today's the big day! I'm awake thinking about everything I have to do today - we moved a year ago and have just had our new kitchen fitted after months of building work. We were the only people to offer on our house after it had been on the market for two years. Our vendors could have used a House Doctor Grin.

Number one, I hope they all turn up, but don't be too down if they don't. 8 viewings in one day is a high number. Hopefully the agent can generate some competition between the viewers. Do ask them to get feedback from everyone - they might not be able to do this until early next week and not everyone will get back to the agent if they aren't interested in the house.

Fwiw the house has great potential because it's in a large plot - scope for extending to the side and the rear.

Ooh how exciting wowfudge sounds like you've had a big project on your hands? Its nice to renovate and get the house exactly how you want it but hard work!!

Yeah my fil is an architect so we had plans drawn up, before we decided to move, for a double storey side and back extension - there is plenty of scope with the plot.

It looks amazing. Good luck with the viewings today op.

OP - that's really interesting. You should get copies of those plans, email to the EA and leave some in the house so viewers can see!

We have kitchen units but still flooring, plinths and skirtings to go. It's been a long haul.
