Due to exchange tomorrow. Buyer has dragged, dragged and dragged some more, then turned around today and said they want £15k off the price. We already took £20k off the price for them at the start of the process. I am NOT shifting, and they are utter CUNTWEASELS!!!!

Can anyone suggest some creative revenge ideas for once they've moved in, if by some miracle this sodding sale does go through?

I would find it very hard not to do any of what was suggested above Blush

We got our previous house after would-be buyers tried to pull a similar stunt and seller said she was so upset by their lack of integrity that she put the property back on the market the same day. They lost their search / survey fees etc. We agreed a price (which I think was more than she was selling for previously) a week later.

TheHobbitMum · 07/11/2016 18:05

I'd have to do all of the above Angry

BabyGanoush · 07/11/2016 18:08

Sit tight

Our buyer insisted upon some pretty major structural work was done, we agreed to do this and it was condition of the sale. Builder appointed and we agreed start date, buyer was to sign contracts the day before said works were done. Phone ea as the builder started, to be told buyer had refused to sign and would not be blackmailed into completing the sale!!!!! Luckily the sale did go through, but on the day of the move we checked the inventory very closely and removed all items not listed maximising the damage to decorations and plasterwork in the process. I still feel a deep sense of satisfaction years later x

I hope your sale goes through at the price agreed and you get to move into a nice new home soon x

Borrow and elderly incontinent cat and let it roam around the house peeing here there and everywhere. Preferably heavily so the floorboards are soaked.

Love the idea of the cunt flower border Grin

AuntieMay · 07/11/2016 18:48

Definitely don't reduce your price- I agree with those that have said put back on the market! They are just trying it on 😡

hifi · 07/11/2016 19:19

I had this once, day before exchange vendors EA phoned to say they wanted 20k more. I was so angry I pulled out. They phoned back the following day begging me to buy. I asked for 5k off and it went through.

JT05 · 07/11/2016 19:53

Our buyer tried 3 times to get us to reduce the agreed price. At the first attempt we said 'no' and if it didn't suit we'd put the house back on the market.
We said the same at attempts 2 and 3! They finally bought at the agreed price!
Stand your ground!

JillyTheDependableBoot · 07/11/2016 20:01

A friend of mine had their buyer pull a similar stunt and did the following.

Said no to price reduction.
Spoke to the EA and got them to send out a "NOW BACK ON THE MARKET" email of the property... in which the EA BCCed ONLY the arsehole purchaser, at 10am the next day.
By noon the buyer had backed down and reinstated their offer.

BabyGanoush · 08/11/2016 13:19

so, what happened in the end?

I need closure!

Scribblegirl · 08/11/2016 13:24

Did it go through OP?

YelloDraw · 08/11/2016 13:36

LizardBreath · 08/11/2016 13:39

Your ideas are the best clarkL the junk mail thing is something one could quite easily do to anyone isn't it.....?

trixymalixy · 08/11/2016 13:40

what happened?

TheTantrumCometh · 08/11/2016 13:41

This seems to be happening more and more. Cheeky fuckers. Hope you've completed now

GinIsIn · 08/11/2016 13:58

It has all gone a bit tits up - they are still trying to negotiate for less money, I am still not moving. I've given them an additional 24 hours until tomorrow to make their sodding minds up!!

OP posts:
AhNowTed · 08/11/2016 15:11

They are absolute c*nts without a shred of decency.

PurplePen · 08/11/2016 15:28

The fucking bastards!! I'm fuming on your behalf. Tell them to fuck off and get your house back on the market.

Ooogetyooo · 08/11/2016 15:32

Toss pots

BolivarAtasco · 08/11/2016 15:38

This happened to me. I told them to fuck off (literally in those words) via the estate agent and they pulled out. They had been an absolute mare up until that point but despite me suggesting the agent warn them that I didn't need to sell and wouldn't put up with any further unreasonable demands, delays and outright rudeness from them, they still tried it on.

It cost me a couple of hundred in solicitor's fees, but it cost them their mortgage offer - and they weren't able to get another one apparently, as this was just before all the 100% mortgages vanished, plus all the fees they'd paid so fuck them.

TheSnorkMaidenReturns · 08/11/2016 15:54

what bastards :(

GinIsIn · 08/11/2016 15:55

Thanks all - am pretty fucking livid TBH - they've dragged this out for MONTHS.

OP posts:
SpotTheDuck · 08/11/2016 16:00

Make sure you stick to your 24 hour deadline and don't let it drag on any further!

iMatter · 08/11/2016 16:04

How quickly can you get it back on the market?

What bunch of shits.

I hope they cave in.

Please stay strong.

Good luck!
