I actually looked at it but thought for the price and the reconfiguring it needed before I even started to brgin to put in kitchens bathrooms and decorate for me it wasn't worth it.

it could have been done amazingly well but the "refurb" has done it no favours. Magnolia paint is only ok if you don't need to take out replace or reconfigure anything. The first thing to go would have been the green sunken bath.

The house in the OP is unusual but that's a lot of house for your money in that area.
Sadly security grilles are not uncommon in london houses.

It could be ok, but I hate the open tread spiral staircase. I'd sacrifice the downstairs cloakroom and loo by THE BAR and put proper stairs in.
Also plaster the exposed brick in the living room and make it look less like a hotel function room.

Looks like somewhere that used to hold swingers parties ( well that imagine not that I've been to any) Function type room and sauna plus basement bedrooms and window grills with neglected garden. Then fresh magnolia paint to make it look less night time. Could be great with only a few changes.

My bugbear with the house that Mintyy linked is that 4 bedrooms share a bathroom and you have to cross the main front door access to get to it from any of them
