I've just shovelled next door neighbour's cat's poo back in to her garden

That's fair isn't it?

Every day I get home and the next door's cat stared at me like 'what are you doing here in my bathroom?'

I have already spent a fortune on that green stuff, get the fuck out of my garden it's called. But it only lasts about 3 days, then the smell goes and it gets rained away.

I will carry on smiling and nodding when I see elderly neighbour. I don't want to speak to her about her krapping cat. I want to say hello neighbour. How are you. Fine. I'm fine too. I don't want to be put in the position of having to raise it with her that I can hear her dog barking all night and her cat is now crapping by my front door.

Why do people who live in a 82 metres sq house think they should have three animals? Confused

She's elderly and you've just shovelled shit into her garden? Well aren't you a peach Hmm

Methe · 01/04/2015 20:30

Because they're selfish arseholes generally.

ChoudeBruxelles · 01/04/2015 20:30

We've got 3 dogs and two cats in a modern 4 bed so not a massive garden. We have them of we enjoy having pets.

NaboensKat · 01/04/2015 20:32

She will just think that her own kat pooed in her garden. If she has a cat then she can't be shocked if there is poo to clear up.
I on the other hand do not own a cat or want a cat so I am shocked that I have to handle poo.
Not only that, but her dog will be barking later at about 12.40

she always lets it out at 12.40

I think it would be fairer to speak to her rather than just shovel it into her garden

JuliaDream · 01/04/2015 20:33

Barking dog and cat crap.

It's MN gold.

Humansatnav · 01/04/2015 20:33

My last ndn had 12 cats. 12!!!! Most of them living in her garden. 2 died in the garden and were only found when her daughter's boyfriend strimmed the 3 food high vegetation. I hate cat shit.

naboenskat · 01/04/2015 20:34

there really is no point talking to her. she can't control her cat.

All I can do is wait for her ageing collection of cooped up pets to pop their klogs one by one.

I'll probably be in the minority, but I don't think YABU. Why should you have to clear up her cat's shit?

fairyfuckwings · 01/04/2015 20:36

My grandma recently died at the grand old age of 95. She was able to stay in her own home thanks to lovely neighbours.

She had the guy from next door mowing her lawn. The shop keepers across the road bringing her milk. Several neighbours bringing her stuff from the fishmongers/market etc.

What she didn't have was someone flinging shit in her garden!

You need to have a word with yourself.

IHeartKingThistle · 01/04/2015 20:37

If you have an outdoor cat (as I have) you have no bloody idea where the cat craps. Your neighbour isn't doing it on purpose.

JuliaDream · 01/04/2015 20:37

You missed the Kapital off your username.

Itshouldntmatter · 01/04/2015 20:38

What a nasty thing to do.

fairyfuckwings · 01/04/2015 20:38

Has everyone else read the part about her being elderly?

I've never read anything as disgraceful on mumsnet in relation to neighbours.

SoupDreggon · 01/04/2015 20:40

And you thought "I know what I'll do, I'll join MN and post about it there!"

VivaLeBeaver · 01/04/2015 20:40

No idea how big my house is but I have 13 animals. Bet my neighbours love me.

Thankfully my cats shit in my own garden and the dogs eat the cat shit. Win, win!

naboenskat · 01/04/2015 20:42

I don't need to have a word with myself. I'm a single parent and I work full time. One of my children has an SN. I've no car. Which is fine. I cycle every where. But I am busy. I do not want the responsibility of shovelling shit, another job to add to the list.

The neighbour is polite and distant. Hello she says to me politely. Hello I say back politely. No chit chat. No issues. That is the way I want it. It is probably the way she wants it too.

So, those suggesting I go to her and tell her that he cat is crapping in my garden. Do you think that will alter the cat's behaviour? the cat will then stop crapping in my garden because I've had a word with its owner? the dog will stop barking because I've made its owner awar that its barking is driving me crazy?

no. the only thing to do is just put up with it, and that's what's so bloody annoying. So if I lift the turds over the fence with a spade and leave them for her to bag up then that is probably kinder to her than ringing up to find out if she is violating some law by having so many animals in such a small space so close to other neigbours.

Actually................ I will not rule that out.

soupDreggon I've just fed it haven't I?

Marzipanface · 01/04/2015 20:45

Good on you.i would do this if I knew which neighbourhood cat defiles my front garden and back garden making it hazardous for my children to play outside.

Haggisfish · 01/04/2015 20:46

Tbh I would have loved to do the same but you won't win this on mumsnet. Personally I feel if you have urban cats, you have a responsibility to tray train them. Bet she doesn't worm them either, just like our old neighbours.

JuliaDream · 01/04/2015 20:46

You need to put the capital back in your username, so your ranting posts are highlighted.

naboenskat · 01/04/2015 20:47

Tell me, at what age is a person no longer obliged to deal with their own cat's poo? At what age is it acceptable for them to just shrug and say 'ah the neighbour will deal with that'.
