Not impressed with Victoria Plumb so far. Delivery came wrapped in plastic on two pallets, too large to fit through a normal domestic doorway or down the side passage to the garden where I wanted the stuff put until the bathroom fitters come next week. Driver and mate took one look, said they couldn't do it, elf an safety - so dumped the stuff in front of the house leaving 61 year old female customer to take the lot through single handedly. Needless to say, job now done!!!

Victoria plumb. if you want anything to last dont use them. 5 years down the line I've got to replace the whole suite.

Just used Victoria Plumb for a number of items, very impressed, excellent delivery, great products and super customer service. Would thoroughly recommend .

I know it can be bad etiquette to revive and old thread, but in case anyone's interested, I have a view on Victorian Plumbing... it's not ideal. I only had a small order - thank God - I would take it as a warning, though:
Initial phone call to ask about products felt helpful; I went for 2 of the superior, more expensive radiator towel hook and was told they would arrive in 3 days. 5 days after the due date, I chased...3 days later I got a response... Finally 11 days late, lots of chasing on my part and not a lot of straight communication on theirs, 2 towel hooks arrived.
One was perfect; one didn't fit. When I reported it (with a boring but thorough description of why it was faulty - a simple case of the connecting bolt being too large) they asked for a photo .... I sent that... then they said they had to liaise with the manufacturer before they could resolve the issue.
My point to them was that the manufacturer relationship was not my problem, and that, given the delays, I would prefer an immediate replacement whilst they worked on their issues fell on deaf ears.

I would not recommend Victorian Plumbing because their initial delivery and communication was terrible and their post sales customer service matches that.

Victorian Plumbing is not Victoria Plumb.

Hopey121212 · 03/04/2015 01:13

Warning.
We recently purchased a number of items from Victoria Plumb,to refurb a bathroom and seperate shower room. The delivery is fast and the prices relatively cheap, but resolving any problems with any of the items you have bought, can be a very complicated matter.
The 365 day return offer they plug all over the site is not all it seems.
This,we found out only applies if the items are returned unused, never having been installed, and that box the item came in must be unopened.
How can you inspect something if you can't open the box to look at it?
Furthermore,if you purchase furniture as we did, an enclosed WC, and find it faulty,as we have just done,it doesn't flush, they will not accept a return without they first contact the manufacturer of the item, then in a week or so get back to you with thier decision. They will not send a replacement,in any circumstances,so we are without a toilet.
The prices are relatively cheap, but to be quite honest,so is the quality, the suites we ripped out were of infinitely better quality.
My advice is,and I know not everybody has money to throw around, go to a local builders merchants or bathroom centre, they all do deals, and if you get any problems,to hey are generally quick to sort them out.

Victoria Plum 1/10
What more can I say,

Victoria Plumb 1/10

BumWad · 03/04/2015 09:26

Go to a local bathroom shop and see what they have. Then source things yourself. Yes might take longer but you can get better quality goods cheaper.

We bought a Roca sink and toilet, adamsez bath, hansgrohe shower and taps, posh porcelain tiles and it was about £1K cheaper than the basic stuff bathstore were selling.

Ebay is also your friend.

Hi we
Placed an order with Victoria plumb in May last year on BNPL. We cancelled the order the following day and Victoria Plumb assured us they had cancelled with the finance company. A year on and we have received a letter from the finance company saying they want paying. Contacted victoria plumb who said they had cancelled it. Back to the finance company who said yes they have, but victoria plumb had already received the money so the finance is still outstanding.

Spoke to victoria plumb who said it wasn't their problem and it was the finance company's issue. Explained again and again and that victoria plumb had kept money for goods we had not received which is fraud. VP said they would email us with a course of action, never received. Told many lies on the phone. Asked what they would do with respect to this debt sat against our name for 12 months for goods we hadn't received. Said it wasn't there problem. Want to pursue this illegal trading - can anyone point me in the right direction.

Would avoid Victoria Plumb. I bought sink, cabinet and all fixings online to redo our cloakroom. Sink arrived chipped and fixings never arrived. Customer service has been appalling. They refused to replace the sink and have never replaced the missing fixings. They did offer me a 5% discount off my next purchase! Rather predictably I won't be using this as I'll NEVER use them again. The situation is ongoing. In the meantime I have a cabinet and chipped sink sitting in my hall with no fittings to install them. UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED.

terrible wasted 2k, not even a year old and needs renewing

bought a entire bathroom from them, over 2k wasted, great at the beginning, first problem discovered was the shower screen is useless, and just leaks due to the way they designed it has a massive hole for water to drain outside the bath rather keeping the water inside the bath.
but within 3 months the first major problem occurred, faulty shower head, begins to bend on the top, within another month, bath mechanism breaks, within the next 2 months, toilet flush mechanism goes faulty. then the entire mixer shower goes faulty.

now its just coming upto one year, every panel of wood has cracks, not small cracks the cracks are growing day by day.
am seriously debating if to bin the lot, and buy from another proper diy store.

do not recommend this store to anyone, save your money and buy elsewhere.
if you try to leave bad reviews on there site, they filter them and do not publish them

Think again before you order from Victoria Plumb. They do send out sub standard goods that are damaged and then refuse to replace them. There was a chip in the toilet lid and as the plumber had installed the base unit they refused to replace the lid. This was informed through a poorly worded email. The suite was not a cheap one and I wish now I had ordered through Bathrooms Direct.

Check all the goods ordered thoroughly and then you will have to wait while they send a replacement. That is if you can get them to replace it.

Bathempire Plumbworld and ibath on Amazon.

glassgarden · 27/06/2016 12:39

Not sounding good for VP!

tinalou737 · 18/08/2016 13:57

Problems started when I ordered bathroom suite. 2 hairline cracked toilets, a broken shower valve (numerous timewasting calls from my plumber to Victoria Plum, a broken tap and this was just the start of the problems. My plumber said that after all the problems I had with my items, he would never work with customer wanting him to install Victoria Plum again. Roll on 2 years and I now have a broken bath tap that I can't replace as I will have to pay for a plumber to rip the bath panel off to get to the tap and a tiler to re-tile the bath panel (if I can buy enough spare tiles). The shower now looks disgraceful. The chrome has bubbled and peeled away from the shower hinges and glass door handle. Hindsight is a great thing, so my advice to anyone would be that unless you want to waste your money in the long run and eventually having to replace your suite, stay well clear of this company. They may use lovely English sounding names for their suites but they are basically cheap poorly produced imports. So Victoria Plum can stick their S bend up their bum! (Oh and Victoria Plum, don't ask me for a reference to look into my enquiry because you weren't interested when I called, you just offered me free delivery if I bought another shower from you!

tonimcdonnell85 · 15/11/2016 10:49

DO NOT USE VICTORIA PLUMB
Order and delivery process was seamless.

But the product has not stood the test of time to even see out the guarantee period. And the process to actually get Victoria Plumb to even consider doing something is painful.

We got a Plumbers report which they requested. Albeit this was a difficult process as most plumbers do meet the requirements set out by VP or just do not want to do it. Having finally managed to get the report they require, an additional clarification was requested, which has been sent by email to VP directly by our Plumber, they will still not take any further action. This is because they want the email from the plumber to be added to the report and reissuing.

I asked for a contact name and number for the Management team so I could discuss this further, however the customer services would not provide this as they had already spoken to management and they believe this is not something I need to do. Consequently I do not feel like my situation is being taken seriously.

I would not recommend this company. I am extremely disappointed that an excellent rated company are behaving this way.

Ugh I am having a suite form VP delivered tomorrow... :-(

YelloDraw · 15/11/2016 12:20

The reviews were all fine on the website - none saying 'arrived cracked' or 'chrome pealing off' or 'broke in 1 year' :-( Now I know why!

tonimcdonnell85 · 15/11/2016 12:47

I tried to post a review on trust pilot, but it was removed as I bought it over a year ago. It is still in the guarantee period, so the reviews are very misleading

What is the point of trustpilot if they remove all the negative reviews?! A scam on scams!
