We had the Howdens top of the range kitchen put in. It's a shaker style and has solid oak doors, painted, in frame style. The kitchen is medium sized and the units, work tops and sink cost £4,500 in the sale. Original quote was £6,400 but sale and getting our fitter to buy it reduced costs. It does look really nice and I have had a lot of comments from visitors. I think it's called Haworth.
The fitting cost me £1275 - done in a week. He was NW tradesman of the year.
The appliances were a range master £1499, integrated fridge, freezer and dishwasher. These were around £250-£300 each again rangemaster.
I thought this was a lot of money (to me any way). I have heard some negative reporting about Howdens, but although you will not get the "show room" experience, not a single item was missing from the delivery and as they carry stock, if there is a problem you can just get it from the store.
I do hear however that their appliances are pretty awful, so avoid these.
