oops sorry OP I just brought it!

It's very nice - I'd love to live there.

ElephantsCanRemember · 13/07/2012 16:23

Very nice. Is that fake grass in the back garden?

cybbo · 13/07/2012 16:23

Absolutely lovely

Shame its in Brockley

LadyKooKoo · 13/07/2012 16:26

Garden looks small so that would put me off but it depends on what you want. I also think it looks quite overlooked (end picture with the kitchen table). I would also want to know what parking was like round there as it looks like yellow lines directly in front of it.

Mintyy · 13/07/2012 16:27

Yes, I think it is fake grass!!

Brockley - hmm yes - hence the price.

I'm sure Kirsty and Philip would describe brockley as an up and coming area

cybbo · 13/07/2012 16:29

Phil

Bloody auto correct

Very attractive from the front, clever photography taken on a very sunny day!
Garden appears to be to the side not e rear, there are not windows or doors on the rear, weird?
Looks very overlooked you can see other houses really close by through every window.
No downstairs loo is annoying too.
The attached garage doesn't seem to be yours, there is no OSP at all though it suggests some can be made.

Mintyy · 13/07/2012 16:37

Am bit surprised to see mention of a genuine Anderson shelter in the garden. Its a bit of an oddity, not a typical London house.

I think it's a lovely house but yes small garden - depends if that's important. I have no idea what Brockley is like as a place to live. Slightly Shock at the price - thought we lived in an expensive area but clearly not.

Stokey · 13/07/2012 16:41

Lovely, and I think Brockley is getting pretty desirable, although is that nearer New Cross?
Why are there no pictures of upstairs or bathroom? That would make me a bit suspicious and as others have said garden looks small for the size of the house.
Would definitely view if it is in your price range.

Mintyy · 13/07/2012 16:43

Yes, the fireplace is awful!

What makes you think I might be taking the p, incidentally?

johnnycomelurky · 13/07/2012 16:45

I can't believe they use the terms "super cool" and "wicked". That's the smarmiest description I've ever read. I am pleased by the symmetry though Wink

Mintyy · 13/07/2012 16:45

Yes, the EAs are wnakers, they really are.

MrsMcNulty · 13/07/2012 16:52

I think it's lovely and in a very good location, loads of stations near by. I don't think it looks too overlooked, you can see houses out of our windows but surely most people in London can? If I had £700k I'd certainly book a viewing!

Mintyy · 13/07/2012 18:17

Do you know Brockley MrsMcN? I sort of know it (live nearby). The house appeals because of its kerb appeal ... it is still only 3 beds, and has artificial grass! I think the garden size is probably the clincher.

plantsitter · 13/07/2012 18:43

I live in Brockley (so shurrup nay-sayers). I have to say this would need to be v spacious to be worth that much, given its location though.

Levantine · 13/07/2012 19:33

Lovely! Brockley is getting quite desirable now isn't it?

MrsMcNulty · 13/07/2012 19:38

I live near Brockley, not in, but have friends there. Maybe it's priced so highly as it's detached?

boohoohoo · 13/07/2012 19:39

I live on the next road to that house, I love it but I think the rooms are a bit small, its more New Cross end than Brockley, although easy walk to Hilly Fields and right next door to Myatt Garden school, which is lovely.

Mintyy · 13/07/2012 19:48

Its not anywhere near Haberdashers Aske's catchment is it?

OP posts:
bigTillyMint · 13/07/2012 19:55

It could well be in Habs catchment as it looks a similar distance away as a friend whose DC go there. But the catchment varies each year according to the number of siblings, etc.

The house itself - layout OK if you only need 3 beds - I guess one of the receps could be a childrens/teens den/sofa bed for guests?

Not sure I'd want to live that close to Lewisham Way, but there is a little gardens....

boohoohoo · 13/07/2012 20:00

Mmmmm, not really, though the new free school there is opening in 2013 and I should imagine you would be able to get a place there, but think the catchment for Haberdashers is still v small.
