any one bought from made.com?

I like the look of a lot of the sofas on made.com. Good prices but I looked up reviews online and they were really mixed.
Lots of people had problems with delivery or the delivery of damaged goods and had problems rectifing it. But others were very happy.

Anyone have any personal experiance?

Hello, this thread is a little old and some of the links may be out of date. There was lots of discussion around Made.com with some users loving them and others having issues with delivery times and quality. As alternatives, users recommended Sofa.com and Sofas & Stuff. @Shopgirl1 not long as we recently moved from the US and are starting from scratch. I'm not trying to persuade people to buy made.com just sharing that we've had a great experience, love our new furniture and will continue to shop there. I've had enough Ikea to last a lifetime and with dogs and kids I don't want to invest a lot in my furniture. I prefer to buy furniture cheaper and replace as needed.

Yes, I understand not wanting to buy expensive furniture, we are the same, dog and small children and nothing stays like new for long.
Made.com looks good from a design perspective alright, different from IKEA also.

I didnt buy direct.. always loved the look of their stuff but lead time too much and stories of woeful customer service ans deliveries put me off.

By chance I bought an item second hand on facebook which I'd considered buying new from made a couple months prior. Total pot luck find...

I am SO glad we didnt pay full price (500vs the 50quid we paid) as it is shocking quality and damages very very easily. I can see how things arrived damaged so frequently now.

Has confirmed my decision not to buy from them, shame... such lovely designs.

Made.com ordered a bed from them several weeks ago and still waiting. Payment taken straight away. Can’t seem to get them to confirm when the bed will come. Just be aware they are having problems with a new warehouse.

I think they’re fine for accessories / small stuff eg we have a couple of lovely lamps, rugs etc. I wouldn’t buy actual furniture from them though as doubt it lasts.

eek..just ordered a Scott sofa from MADE.com and hoping that I have a better experience than a lot of folks on this thread!

I got £50 off my order with a voucher code, but it's still nearly a grand so hope I haven't made a mistake..

I bought a sideboard from them. I'm very happy with it and no problems at any time in the process.

Delivered a completely broken coffee table and refused to arrange a return from the flat unless I brought the heavy broken item down to the ground floor. Then refused to process the refund. And refused to speak to me on the phone about it.

Yes, never had a problem. Got a real mix of high end designer stuff and made.com sofas and they look fab.

I moved from the UK to Germany and really struggled to find decent furniture over here. In my opinion, Made.com was the only site that's selling really nice looking furniture in Germany. It's much better quality than most, but I always buy in the sale. I discovered some similar retailers on Furniture Fuse that sell similar brands, but overall made.com has been a godsend!

We had a bad experience. We bought a modular sofa that would not stay ‘connected’ so our 3 year old kept falling down the cracks. Made were really unpleasant about it, said we had to pay to return if we wanted an exchange. Eventually, after much pushing on our side, they sent an independent furniture ombudsman craftsman out who immediately said the connecting clips were incorrectly fitted and would never align. The craftsman fixed it in ten minutes, which was great. Made never acknowledged this or apologised for the way they had spoken to us. We would never buy from them again.

BEWARE!!! Ordered a sofa last May ,paid over £1000 and it never came. Their phone number is no longer in service and no response from Chat. I am devestated

No never again. I bought a chair and it took 6 weeks to arrive. It was rubbish and it took alot of arguing for them to pick it up after another 2 weeks and then refund me

Ordered a chest of drawers in JULY which finally arrives next week!!!

My bedframe took 3 months to arrive. So unless you're willing to wait months and months, I wouldn't bother with Made.com at all. Stick to John Lewis or Habitat.

I've had loads of things from made.com over the years. The designs are great. The quality does vary a bit - I think it's all manufactured by different people. No issues with lamps etc. Some of the wooden furniture has had some filler. The chairs I've had haven't felt the most solid but they've been more statement pieces than typical chairs so that's probably to be expected.
I wouldn't want to buy my main sofa from them - too risky- but overall i'd still recommend them.

I find them quite overpriced for what they are given the materials they use are not always the best.

Style over substance, though I haven't been drastically unhappy with my purchases. I really think they can be hit and miss.
