And he sounded quite militant about it. Which surprised me a bit. The governors are in agreement. Unless the boycott is declared illegal.

DD chuffed to bits. And she was one of the ones heading for top levels across the board.

The teachers will grade the pupils from their own tests and assessment.

Hoo-bloody-ray!

Some do, Anna - depends on the school.

DD's secondary put them in teaching groups according to SATS but then have a bit of a shuffle round after their own tests.
Her OCD affected her SATS results- predicted 5A science- came out a 3. Totally went to pieces.
DS sitting them this week.

Feenie = great post of yours last night at 11.09.

Thanks, Deaddei. I think you mean Sunday morning's at 10:11:09 though - you made me think I was sleepwalking/posting for a second there!

Best of luck to your ds.

Oh ignore me Fennie- I am suffering from a severe cold and sinusitis, and everything is impaired!
Ds is cool about it- but hey, we're hardened in SW London with Tiffin tests [smile)

How come schools come over all prissy about parents'breaking the rules' when they do teh same thing?

mrz · 11/05/2010 20:47

oldandgreynow no one is breaking the rules. I know you seem to believe they are but it simply isn't the case.

Feenie · 11/05/2010 21:13

The action is perfectly legal - no idea what you are getting at, oldandgreynow.

Doesn't th government say the schools have to administer SATS ?

No the law says ?The duty to administer the tests falls directly on the head teacher and as head teachers are involved in a legal trade dispute they are unable to carry out this duty.
As it is a legal trade dispute no rules are being broken and only in the event of other staff or governors administering tests would the law be broken.

You may not like it but the fact is no rules have been broken.
