Lacka after reporting and seeing at least a dozen of these I lost patience!

I have never tried it but my husband is head of maths for his primary school and he is not keen on Kumon at all. All the maths they teach now is within a specific context, there are practically no worksheets, it's about understanding how numbers work, the concepts behind for example, half of something, or three lots of something, and all the questions are in sentences, not just 40+10. We do lots of maths at home, and we use Numicons and the old fashion Cuisenair rods. I have a friend whose son is doing Kumon and the worksheets and books look very boring to me. I am not working for Cuisenair or for Numicons, by the way, I am not trying to sell anything!!!

I have never tried it with my kids, I meant to say, not for myself!
