Looking for a 'fun' internet site to help Year 1 DD with her maths

DD1 is apparently struggling a bit with maths. She LOVES going on the computer at home, when we let her. She currently goes on the CBeebies and Charlie & Lola sites because I haven't to-date looked into other age appropriate sites. It occurs to me that if there are any 'fun' maths sites out there, appropriate for a Year 1 child, then that might be a really good thing to help her along, as long as she has fun doing it.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.
Thank you!

am not sure about websites but if she has a DS there is a 'game' to help them with their maths

dizzydixies · 27/11/2008 23:03

junior brain trainer

maths play

there is another one called 'I did it mum' but I have no idea what its about or what it teaches

and have no idea if any of them are any good - was just browsing games and noticed them

dizzydixies · 27/11/2008 23:05

maths made simple here

dizzydixies · 27/11/2008 23:08

farmyard fun thingy?

DoNotAsfinishedXmasshopping · 27/11/2008 23:11

ooo I quite like junior brain trainer. They love playing our Brain trainer...but aren't really very good.

And only £15 - that's a bargain (for a DS game)!

dizzydixies · 27/11/2008 23:14

I would check on Play.com too they have some good deals on games as well

Wallaroo · 28/11/2008 10:21

Thank you will have a good look.

Snowstorm · 28/11/2008 18:50

We use education city. DD (year 1) loves the maths things on there. You do have to pay (I think it's £30 for a year or something) but you can have a free week's trial before signing up so at least you can see if she enjoys it first. Also has literacy, science, french and spanish on it.

indignatio · 29/11/2008 15:40

rainforestmaths.com

sunnydelight · 01/12/2008 06:10

Rainforestmaths has shut down it's site unfortunately. We like educationcity too.

Hulababy · 02/12/2008 11:23

We also have educationcity and DD (Y2) loves it.

Bramshott · 03/12/2008 09:56

DD was recommend this site by her Yr 1 teacher. We've played the clock games on it which are good.

samanthar · 04/01/2009 23:49

Just bumping this to see if anyone has any more

You'd need to get the school involved for this one but www.mathletics.co.uk is hugely popular.
Get on to the school!

You get to play against people all over the world.
My year 1 son absolutely loves it and he's not very academic. (My year 4 daughter is very academic and spends hours there too. It's the one thing they agree on)!
