Anyone else anxious about tomorrow's primary school admissions email in London?

Is anyone else a nervous wreck for the primary school admissions email to come out tomorrow, 16th April 2026? I’ve been a mess all day!!! Has anyone applied for schools in London?

Good luck everyone. 21-22 was a low birth rate year so it should be a happier time today than last year.

Our catchment school was oversubscribed last year but they expected to be offering out of catchment today which hasn’t happened for a number of years.

It doesn’t but my second choice comes under the borough of Lewisham. I’m in the middle of both boroughs

I was feeling really confident that of course she will get the first choice and then since last night I’ve been spiralling. It’s actually ridiculous cos there’s literally nothing we can do about the outcome. Bring on 5pm

Me too and that's the issue is we cant do anything about the outcome other than hope we get the schools we want and if we dont, we've still got time to get offers... fingers r crossed x

Exactly! Unfortunately I will have to try and do something if I get my 3rd choice. The school doesn’t start until 8am and I have to be in work at 8.15am so it’s just not humanly possible!! The stress!!!!

The wait is frustrating. Why is London after 5pm? They must know already, why not just press send?

@Alicexo ah okay same Im in the middle of boroughs and technically Bromley but most of the schools I applied to were Lewisham !

@SarahLH92 Brockley has some lovely schools we nearly moved there this year !

I think they press send and run for the doors to go home 😂 they don’t wanna be dealing with all the phone calls
