My ds's school does not use ORT levels I think, and if they do I haven't noticed at all. My ds is the top reader in reception, and is on level 14, which is a bit . I don't know what that means, and I don't think that it is level 14 ORT since they appear to be using a different scheme. He has been picked out as "gifted", but that just means a bit bright, imo. My eldest, now 19, could reat befre nursery and was not called "gifted", just difficult to 'control'. Now with my 5 year old, they have run out of books, and are having to order more in
It is all a bit bizarre, and I don't understand anything at all about what happens in that school.
I know that he enjoys reading, particularly poetry, books about the solar system, and trees.
