Hmm, perhaps not then. At least you know your dd won't take them when offered so maybe there's no need to mention it.

You could take along a quarter of soor plooms and offer them to the teacher.

My friend has sent me a big bag of haribo tangfastic sweets for my birthday. I'm sitting here eating them all before dcs see them and demand some.

Sandyballs - no, I'm sure Brownies no longer wear berets to go with their modern 'Kwik Fit Fitter' uniforms, but they did when I threw my beret into the river after being told repeatedly not to throw it about like a frisbee!

I can see why you are pissed off. Sweets are generally off limits in our house, Chocolate, cakes etc are fine but I personally don't like sweets so we don't have them . Ds (3) was given a horrible jelly snake thing recently which he choked on so now he says "sweets are yucky". I think it is a bit out of order for the teacher to bring them in as a reward as many children I know would not be allowed to have them at home.

i think its an ok thing for a teacher to do.

buts its also ok your dd knew her on mind enough she didnt want one.

personal choice and all that. my kids ahve shite sometimes but thats it sometimes.

when i hear people at my young mums group talkign about how they dont cook veg and only eat frozen crap and ready meals and biscuits and sweets and crisps, thats the kids i worry for.

not jsut one sweet from a teacher

I think we need to do an intervention on Boco to prevent her slipping again.

We are a healthy school and we don't give out sweets/biscuits. However, if it's a childs' birthday then they sometimes bring in sweets or treats to share with the others.

Anyway - luckily she said 'I'm not allowed sweeties' and not 'sweets are full of sugar and shite'.

But there's always a next time, Nailpolish!
