0.6 miles - about 10 mins on scooters. Don't under estimate the stress of a long school run or having to go in the car.

DontDeadOpenInside · 19/05/2016 19:25

It a 3 minute walk by myself and approximately 5 with my son, it's so close we can hear the kids at playtime but its up a steep hill.

It used to take us a good half an hour each way to walk it until we moved closer.

10 mins (would take 5 if it was just me without the kids)

isittheholidaysyet · 19/05/2016 22:14

10-15 min drive. (20 mins on market day!)

NatashaRomanoff · 19/05/2016 22:16

10-15 minutes walk. Apparently the nanny drives every day though Hmm

Moving soon and it'll add 10 mins ish to the journey, 5 on which will be waiting at traffic lights!

whensitmyturn · 19/05/2016 22:17

50 minutes round trip if walking 15 min round trip if driving

RatOnnaStick · 19/05/2016 22:17

5 minutes in the car.

dollylucy · 19/05/2016 22:24

25 min(average) drive
5 miles

suitcaseofdreams · 19/05/2016 22:53

2 miles, takes 5 mins in the car...just a bit too far to walk though (especially as I have to get off to work after drop off so don't have time to walk back again)
I always wanted to be able to walk them to school but there just isn't a school close enough....

smellyboot · 19/05/2016 23:33

0.4 miles so 5 min in car if I Have to go straight into work really. 10 mins on scooters which we prefer for home run ( I carry / scoot to school) and even less on bikes. I work so any longer school run would be total head ache. Mine go to breakfast club most days too. Great to get fresh air and have a sociable walk home

StickTheDMWhereTheSunDontShine · 19/05/2016 23:37

12 minutes downhill, 20 minutes uphill. Was a long time ago, now. About 2/3 mile.

Thank you; I am looking for somewhere for DD which is 40 mins away but I just do not know how practical it is for DD at the age of 4/5.

5-6 min drive

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 20/05/2016 07:11

Reception 8 mins Juniors 2 mins.

QueenCuntyFlippers · 20/05/2016 07:16

15 min walk with 2 year old and 4 year old

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 20/05/2016 07:40

5 min walk ds1 and DS2 (London)

20 min drive ds3 (country)

20 mins drive felt a lot; I think 40 mins is too much.

Is that driving or walking? What if the traffic is shit? Will you have to go home afterwards, you would be spending almost 3 hours a day going to and from school without traffic and parking issues. Is there a decent school closer to you?

Lilaclily · 20/05/2016 07:45

15 minutes walking

I have to add, my kids are early risers, we have the morning routine down to a tee and they usually have 15-20min messing around time before we leave for school.
