If DS likes reading Beast Quest, what else is he likely to enjoy?

DS, age 7, has really got into reading this year, and really likes Beast Quest, but we are up to number 42 now, and I am not sure my sanity will stand reading too many more with him, as they are all the same story repeated over and over again! I could really do with some suggestions of other books he might like please?

I forgot to mention Horrid Henry! I dislike them intensely, but DD enjoyed them.

DS1 (almost 7) likes Beast Quest - although thankfully he reads them to himself so I'm spared Grin

He also likes Tom Gates, and Flat Stanley, and there is some Terry Pratchett for young readers which is good also - a new one, not the older Diggers/Trucks/Wings which actually I should get out for him now probably.

DS2 Likes BQ. Just recently read lots of Switch series books (got a pack from thebookpeople). Also Monster and Chips, and a series about London Zoo with children who live on a canal boat. today the Stink series arrived and he sat down and read 4 of them already!

My son sounds very similar. I second the Time Hunters books and now he has finished all 90 odd Beast Quest books he has started reading the Wings of Fire series wingsoffire.scholastic.com/. They are a bit meatier and my son is 9 now so they may not appeal yet but worth bearing in mind for the future.

Tom Gates is really popular here, along with wimpy kid. I'm trying to get him into more literary books, so have bought httyd but he hasn't focused enough to read through to the end yet. Roald Dahl of course are also excellent.

Ds3 has just finished the Frogspell series by C J Busby and loved them. He also likes diary of a wimpy kid, Secret Seven and anything by Dick King Smith.
