How tall is your 12/13yo?

My dd was 12 in May and has always been super tall. She won't let me measure her but she's taller than me now, so I'm guessing 5'6-5'7. She's defo taller than all her friends (and hates it). We know she's near enough stopped growing (needed spinal surgery so loads of X-rays).

My D's is 11 and 5ft 7 shoe size 9.5 I'm 5ft 4 my DH is 5ft 8

The girls have a growth spurt first and overtake the boys at this age. DS1 is 13 and 165cm -I'm 170. I think that's 5'8" in feet so DS would be 5'6".

It's not a bad height to be for a woman. I'm tall compared with other women but not freakishly so (I didn't even notice until I was in my 30s) and I'm shorter than most men but within the average male height range so I can use everything properly even the stuff designed for male bodies.

I do tend to be taller than men if I wear high heels. That used to bother me a bit when I was a teenager, it doesn't now and I rarely wear them anyway, not for that reason.

I can only go by myself that age, as no children.
Age 11- 160cm
Age 12- 166cm
Age 13- 168cm (5ft 6')

I never grew any taller and do think I'm shrinking now in early 40's!

DS almost 13 is only 126cm and size 1 shoes. But he was very prem and has ASD/SLD; and the consultant agreed with our decision not to give him growth hormone as his small stature is a minor issue for his future 😊

DD 12 is 5ft 4

Dd12 will be 13 soon is 5’4”. Way past kids clothes and in adult ladies clothes. Long legged and big footed like me
I wasn’t particularly tall at school. I left school and shot up to 5’10”. So many old school friends have said ‘I don’t remember you being tall!’

DD is 12.5. She's 135cm (4ft 5 inches).

DS 13, 4'10" currently

DD twelve and a half is 5’5. I am 5’3. She also steals my clothes 😦

Wow kids are generally very tall these days aren't they! I'm keen to get her properly measured. My tape doesn't quite cut it! I expect 5'6.5/ 5'7

Yes they are, my DS gets quite upset about his height sometimes but we're not a tall family! He was never going to be massive, he has been growing rapidly this year though so I'm expecting him to reach my height in the next year or so!

DD and DS are both 13 - all three of us are exactly the same height (152cm) at the moment
DS has size 7 and a half feet, and DD and I are both a size 3, so he is hoping he'll pull away from us at some point
Elder DD is 16 and 158cm, has been for a couple of years now, so I think that's where she'll stay

My DD has just left Primary school and some of her friends ate my height... 5ft7!

My own Dd is 'only' 5ft at just 11yo.

Dd 5 ft 8 size 8 feet

Son is 13 and almost 5ft 7. He had a massive growth spurt last year but does seem to have slowed down now. His voice has been broke. For over a year now too but he’s hoping he’s still got some more growth to come. I’m not sure but hope so too. I doubt many boys stop growing at 13?

Dd 13.5 is 5ft. She's always been one of the smallest in her year. Thought with puberty she would've grown but nope! Dd2 who'll be 12 in November is only a couple cm shorter.

For balance my 2 fully grown DDs are 5ft2 and 5ft0 (when standing very very straight)

My DD is 13 next week and is 5ft 9 and has size 7 feet. Her dad is 6ft 4 and I'm only 5ft 2 so she takes after him. I'm expecting her to get to about 5ft 11 before she stops growing.

Quite funny when one so young still 13 is taller than me, her older sister and both my parents!

I don't think 5'6-5'7 is unusually tall for a 12-year-old 🤷‍♀️ My 12-year-old daughter is around that height and she's not noticeably taller than her friends. In fact, she's pretty average among her peer group. Her best friend is taller than her and she has another close friend who is nearly 6'0 (all same age).

5’10 aged 12

I’m amazed at these 6 foot DSs.

DS1 is 13 next month and a fraction shorter than me, so 5 foot 5 or a little less. Size 7 or 8 feet. He was the tallest in his class all through primary but he’s not hit puberty yet.

DS2 is going into year 7 so some children in his class will be nearly 12 (he’s summer born so only just 11) and he’s 4 foot 5….

DD13 is 5 ft 4 and size 5 and DS14 is 5ft 5 and size 8, puberty hasn't really hit him yet though.
Both are taller than me now.

DD (13) is about 4ft 10 I believe. Need to measure her again. She’s taken to stealing my shoes but they’re a little bit big on her, so she’s probably a size 2.5/3. She is much smaller than her friends - has always been - but has had a growth spurt in the last year, I have hope she’ll be as tall as me (5ft 4 )
