What should I do/say

My daughter's bag has gone missing at pre-school and not sure if I can do anything about it.

At pick-up time we went to the coat room. There was a parent and child next to DD's hook who I didn't recognise. They stumbled through me to get out so my routine was all wrong. When I got home I realised I'd put DD's cardi in my bag and left her bag at pre-shcool. I rang pre-school to see if they could keep it safe but they said it was no on her hook or anywhere else.

Now, we went from pre-school, into car at back home. The bag must be at pre-school. What do I do/say. I rang again and left a message on their answer phone at 1pm asking them to look again but they haven't called back.

What do I say/do?

I don;t rule my own school gate, far from it
but
I venture to suggest that the longer you have children in nursery / prechool / school, the less worked up you get about some things that once seemed tremendously important, and that many posters who have replied are further down the track than you...

where is your 'unwind' button ? I wish to press it.
