Hi everyone hope your all well. I desperately need your support today as I have no one to help me or support me other than my partner. Yesterday I took the first termination pill mifepristone around 4pm and was feeling very nauseous apart from that nothing major than around 11pm when I went to lie down I felt so bloated and such extreme heartburn that I was tossing and turning all night my stomach felt heavy like there's a massive ball floating in there waiting to come out. I thought maybe the first tablets cut the hormone off so it's normal. However woke up in the morning with extreme morning sickness which sent me into a panick that maybe the first pill hasn't worked? I've also got stomach pains and I have to take the second lot of pills to start the contractions and expel the pregnancy and am really scared of the outcome

Handholding.
Hope it goes smoothly for you.
Can you contact your medical provider if you need reassurance about the vomiting?

Tataru · 08/07/2022 15:17

Misoprostol is what does the work - the Mifepristone doesn't cause termination on its own in most cases - so don't worry about symptoms remaining or anything after the first pills. When you take the second ones, you might find they act quite quickly, within an hour or so, or they might take slightly longer. I recommend inserting them vaginally if you aren't bleeding. You might need to take the second lot bucally (in your cheek) if you are bleeding heavily by then.

Thankyou so much for your support and replying back to this message it means alot. Never been so scared in my life. Just took some anti sickness tablets before I insert the second lot of tablets. Heart beat racing

Hope it is going okay.
Focused breathing can really help with a racing heart.
There are lots of guided breathing examples online.

Hi I just inserted the 4 tablets vaginally but for some reason I can feel a nasty aftertaste coming in my mouth? I did place anti sickness medication so don't know if it's that or the other pills. Just lying in bed waiting for the worst to happen, did take painkillers aswell so hoping it's not to bad. And thankyou so much for your support once again xxx

It's very likely the anti sickness

Was it buccatem or cyclisine bOth of those v v bitter also codeine bitter

Can't help on the rest I've never been through this

Tataru · 08/07/2022 16:50

Hope it all goes smoothly. I had a termination at 7.5 weeks and it was no worse pain wise than a heavy period for me so fingers crossed for you.

kingkax · 08/07/2022 16:53

Hi op it was buccatem if I knew they have a aftertaste like this I wouldn't have bothered With them

OP posts:
kingkax · 08/07/2022 16:54

The worst of it will be over in a couple of hours. I did feel dizzy when I got up after the tablet insertion and went down stairs, I suggest not moving too far and just go to the bathroom when needed. After a couple of hours I was back on my feet cooking dinner.

I've no advice to give as I've been lucky enough not to have to make a decision like this, but I can give you a hand hold and a listening ear. Hope you're OK. It'll be over soon.

Fuzzyhippo · 08/07/2022 18:01

I've had both early and late term medicals, and the 'ball floating' sensation you describe I can totally relate to. It's a horrible and heart wrenching feeling. I found I got stomach pains but I always wondered if it was more to do with the anxiety of it all. Wishing you all the best Flowers

kingkax · 08/07/2022 18:06

@Fuzzyhippo I suffer from anxiety aswell so it could be the anxiety aswell. I took the 4 tablets vaginally inserted at 4pm it's nearly 6pm and nothing has happened no pain no cramps am getting really impatient now just want it done and over with

@seaUrchinOne still waiting after 2 hours since I've inserted the 4 tablets vaginally and nothing at all, no cramps no pain rather strange

TitoMojito · 08/07/2022 18:10

Someone I know had a termination with the tablets and she was so violently sick that she was hospitalised so it's possibly the tablets that are causing you to feel so ill and have a nasty taste in your mouth. Hopefully the anti sickness help.

Chickenwing2022 · 08/07/2022 19:28

Here to hand hold with you...
I've just inserted my four tablets at 6:45, currently waiting for it to all begin.
Feeling some pressure/butterflies down there. I'm terrified. Xx

kingkax · 08/07/2022 19:35

@Chickenwing2022 Awwwah I know it's hard isn't it not knowing what's going to happen next. I've just started With some mild bleeding nothing major and slight cramps. I did have to take the remaining 2 under my cheeks as the nurse told me to take them 3 hours after inserting the 4 vaginally so there no retained product left in there. So far just light bleeding just wish I would pass the big clots and get it done and over with. Let me know how u get on xx Sending you big hugs Flowers

OP posts:
Tataru · 08/07/2022 19:37

When I began to feel things moving, I went and just sat on the toilet for 30 mins while it happened. After a couple of large clots, which weren't painful, I just had some smaller ones spread over an hour or so and then just normal period-like bleeding.

Hope you're both doing okay Flowers

Chickenwing2022 · 08/07/2022 19:40

@kingkax thank you. I hope things go as well as can be for you.
Only my husband knows what's going on, I'm too ashamed to tell anyone else.
He's downstairs with our kids, they think I have tummy ache which is why I'm upstairs in bed.
How many weeks are you?
I think I'm 7 weeks by my dates... I've been crying ever since I took the first tablet yesterday. I feel so sad about this. 💐

kingkax · 08/07/2022 19:49

@Chickenwing2022 Am 7 weeks aswell. No one knows in my house either apart from the husband and my kids are just on there I pads. I know what u mean by crying its so emotional isn't it and a hard decision to make. I've had a good cry in the morning I do believe these tablets mess around with the hormones but hopefully it will be over soon. Fingers crossed just hang in there xxx Am right here if u need me Flowers

kingkax · 08/07/2022 19:50
