6 weeks medical termination today

Hi all,

Is there any other girls out there that have had a medical termination today and want to talk about it together?

I was 6 weeks, went in this morning and had the first tablet.

I have a 6 month old baby who was planned and currently in the process of moving to a bigger house. We believed it was just not the right time for us and were stunned to have been in this position so soon considering how careful we were. I have found it so hard to make this decision over the last 3 weeks but felt it was for the best for our family.

Hi. Sorry to hear that.
I've now had 2 positive tests since NYE.
I had another bleed this morning now nothing. No clots this time.

Hope all goes well for you x

I’ve had the surgical procedure done today.

They gave me mifepristone to take 24 hours before and anti biotics to take last night. I had to go in for 10am, had all the pre-surgery checks and the procedure done at 11.30. I was home by 1pm.

It was a very strange sensation but all over within 10-15 mins.

I hope everyone else is ok.

Last test yesterday. Still positive. Scan tomorrow.

@Yellowcakestand I hope it all goes ok tomorrow. How are you feeling about things?

I had a continuing pregnancy. When the midwife scanned me she said she could see a viable pregnancy and ask was I still sure of my decision. They only run a surgical list every two weeks at the BPAS clinic that I attended so I was booked in for a surgical the following day.

I won’t lie, it was a very strange feeling. I was given mifepristone to take the day before and prophylactic antibiotics to take late the evening before. They then inserted a coil while they were in there. It took about 15 mins in total.

The nurses and midwife were excellent and gave me the best care. I didn’t feel judged and they put me at ease.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask away.
