Hi everyone, I went to the clinic today and took the first pill mifepristone this afternoon with antibiotics and an anti sickness pill. I am struggling to keep it down as feeling very sick but only have another half hour to worry before its definitely absorbed and it doesn't matter if I vomit then.
Not feeling overly sad as I've made this decision for all the right reasons I'm just a bit nervous about the next stage tomorrow. Anyone out there for a bit of a chat/hand hold?
Pretty prepared for what's to come next it's just a bit daunting especially as I have a big weekend coming up (collecting my new horse).

Hi I have no experience but happy to hold your hand.

It must be very nerve racking and unpleasant ... do you take the next pill tomorrow too ( not sure of protocol ) As the bleeding and cramps can be quite severe ( from what a old friend once told me when she had an abortion ) don’t want you over doing it with the horse picking up.

Do you ride competitively ? Racing or equestrian perhaps? X

Sausageroll12 · 31/07/2019 16:02

Thanks newmumma that's very kind of you, yes 4 tablets tomorrow inserted vaginally at home which should kick it all off. Got my codeine, hot water bottle and netflix ready.
It's not ideal timing getting the horse really but not something I can put off any longer. I've tried so hard to be excited about him but I've felt so sick Confused funny that a couple of weeks ago I thought my gut was telling me it was the wrong decision, turns out it was morning sickness!

Sorry missed your last question, just a happy hacker and occasionally do a local competition if I'm feeling brave!

I'm happy to chat.
What horse are you getting?

Sausageroll12 · 31/07/2019 16:27

Thanks Giggle, I'm getting a palomino, he's a beauty Star

GiggleMcDimples · 31/07/2019 19:04

I bet he's gorgeous!
How's the nausea doing now?

Sausageroll12 · 31/07/2019 19:46

Not as bad as earlier although back on a par with the morning sickness I've had for the last two weeks. Definitely won't miss this feeling. Also had a few sporadic cramps but not too painful

Hi I’ve been through this op. Soon the worst will be over.
Have a hand hold.

Horse sounds like a beauty - have you chosen a name yet?

Sausageroll12 · 31/07/2019 19:54

Thanks bellas! I'm pretty boring with names, I like your standard pony names like Prince and Spirit Hmm any suggestions?

Blondie!

Hope you're ok x

Hello OP! Been through the same. I started bleeding soon after and it was like a very heavy period. I actually didn't need the codeine. I had the termination due to hyperemesis and the horrible nausea passed in 24 hours. The relief!!

The worst would soon be over.

Lighteninginabottle27 · 31/07/2019 20:23

Hi, I've been through this although I spent the day on a ward, being at home would of been better but wasn't an option for me.
I didn't have too much pain, it wasn't as bad as I anticipated and I knew it was the right decision.
I've lost my confidence riding now, I think it's an age thing. I don't like hacking out alone yet used to love the tranquillity and the feeling of being bonded and out together. My horse died and I've only ridden for friends since.

Lighteninginabottle27 · 31/07/2019 20:24

I just remembered, I was oddly hungry and asked for some toast. Would that help?

Sausageroll12 · 31/07/2019 20:46

Aw blondie that's sweet!

Thanks user that makes me feel better I've been a bit anxious thinking about it, I want that relief!

Aw lightening that's a shame, I love a ride alone to clear my head. Haven't felt up to it for a couple of weeks but looking forward to getting back on. Although I'm nauseous I am eating ok and toast has been a big part of that!

How far along are you OP (Hope you don't mind me asking, but it might have a bearing on how long it will take).
Glad you're feeling okay at the moment.
I've always liked the name Raine/Reign for a horse, I have no idea why!

Make sure you keep eating, there might come a point where you get a bit sicker and its good to get all that energy in while you can x

Sausageroll12 · 31/07/2019 21:07

No that's fine Bella, I had a scan last friday and they estimated just under 8 weeks. It was difficult for us to date as I don't have periods as a side effect of the contraceptive pill I'm on. BPAS were brilliant and I was seen the same week although I did have to travel to the next county, luckily today I could go to my local clinic. Like Raine really unusual!

Bellasblankexpression · 31/07/2019 21:11

I'm so glad you got seen quickly, the waiting is the worst. Hoping that means it will be relatively quick for you, mine was at 20 due to a defect, so took a fair while, but I think at around 8 it should be slightly easier (as easy as these things ever can be).
Good that you're keeping your mind busy - do you have magazines/books etc with you to keep you occupied? x

Sausageroll12 · 31/07/2019 21:17

I've got my ipad with some tv shows and books but I've found it really difficult to focus for any length of time recently. I have a working lunch tomorrow so that should keep my mind elsewhere before I come home and start part 2. DP will be home by then also as he's taking half a day off

OP posts:
Sausageroll12 · 31/07/2019 21:19

Also I'm so sorry about the circumstances of your termination Bella, I hope you are ok now x

OP posts:
Bellasblankexpression · 31/07/2019 21:24

I know what you mean - it's difficult to focus with something like this looming. Do you have to go into hospital for the second part or cu stay at home?

Thank you - I'm doing ok now thanks. I'm actually pregnant again but something requires further investigation, AND I managed to whack my little 17 week bump on the kitchen surface tonight, so I'm pretty stressed about that but trying to stay calm!

Working lunch sounds good for keeping your mind off it, I found keeping myself as busy as possible in the run up and between the two different phases really helped.

Sausageroll12 · 31/07/2019 21:30

Congratulations Flowers I hope all is well and dont stress your body is designed to absorb those impacts! I took everything home from clinic today so I dont need to go back. I'm off to bed but thank you for the company it really helped me to relax

OP posts:
Bellasblankexpression · 31/07/2019 21:33

Thank you! ah I'm really glad you can stay at home, that will make it 100 times easier (not to diminish the experience you're going through of course).

Have a good sleep and hope it all goes okay for you. Would love to see a pic of the new horse when you collect! :)

Lighteninginabottle27 · 31/07/2019 22:28

Take care and rest up.

Newmumma83 · 01/08/2019 08:29

Hi so sorry my internet was playing up! You sound in good spirits ! Good luck with
Today .. how are you feeling x

Sausageroll12 · 01/08/2019 14:01

Feeling ok, just got home and have started part 2 with very shaky hands. DP not home yet but I don't want to have to stay up any later than necessary if it takes a while so have gone ahead. Just waiting now Sad
