It has been super tough, the worst years of my life.
20 year old having a stillbirth & miscarriages broke me as a person.

I'm just with trying to hope for the best with the scan tomorrow but I know deep down it's going to be bad news

Are you just 20?
You have so much time on your side.
Has your GP recommended maybe taking a little time to build your strength - emotional and physical - up? If the worst happens tomorrow, there will be leaflets in the unit tomorrow offering support. Do think about availing of them. You have been through a lot in a short time and you were so young when it began.

Emilyjaynee666 · 02/06/2023 23:46

I'm 21 now , I had my stillbirth in November around 6 month ago. I was told when I was younger that I may never conceive and the one thing I want is to be a mum always have since I was a little girl.

Having this many miscarriages & a stillborn as well at only 20-21 makes me terrified of the years to come

My gp hasn't recommended anything, I feel like a lost little girl. Nothing seems to work.
I can't bare to loose another pregnancy

I had similar when I had a miscarriage but also had similar when I was pregnant with my son. It's such a worrying time OP. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Did you ever find out what caused the bleed when you was pregnant with your son may I ask? X

They did not. He did have intrauterine growth restriction (there's a link between this and first trimester bleeding). He was 4lbs 10, born at 38 weeks. Had too little amniotic fluid (oligohydramnios). Few more other complications. He was on hospital for 5 days then totally fine albeit tiny. I still wonder why.

Wishing you all the best.

Emilyjaynee666 · 03/06/2023 00:21

Oh no. Glad he's all fine tho, with your miscarriage did you continue to bleed?
My bleeding has stopped which seems strange as my miscarriages last year I bleed for weeks

I bled on and off, but everyone is different and I would try not to compare your symptoms too much to other people's as you'll drive yourself bonkers. I can tell how anxious you are and wish I could give you a hug. Glad you reached out.

Emilyjaynee666 · 03/06/2023 00:26

The thing is I haven't bleed much at all.
Before loosing the clots I only bleed when I wiped down there it hasn't been coming out on a pad and now we'll today there's been no blood just pink spots when I wipe now nothing at all.
I just feel let down in so many ways, it's so hard speaking to my friends or anyone around me as I don't no anyone who's had miscarriage or a stillbirth (28 weeks) (a beautiful little boy). Everytime anyones been pregnant around me they've always got there babys in the end. I just don't think my body is able to do it.

You are very young and have time on your side. Lots of women have multiple miscarriages for numerous different reasons before they have a successful pregnancy. It doesn't change how painful it is, however I hope you can remain hopeful.

Emilyjaynee666 · 03/06/2023 00:30

I'm trying to remain hopeful. I just wish it didn't have to be me all the time I know that's bad and I wouldn't wish this on anyone I just never seem to get a break 💔

@Emilyjaynee666 I can't say try not to worry as the same thing happened to me, all I did was frantically google and read things on Mumsnet.
I passed big clots and blood was running down my legs, we have to self refer to EPAU via A&E. They said I wasn't an emergency, they wouldn't scan me and to go home and basically have a miscarriage.
I paid for a private scan that same day and travelled 80 miles to find somewhere with space.
I was convinced it was over my heart broke. Then I saw the heartbeat. I'm now 17 weeks and had period like bleeding from 6-12 weeks and no one can tell me why.
Go get yourself a private scan for your own mental health. You can't be left not knowing and wondering.
Keeping everything crossed for you xxx

Mrsstart · 03/06/2023 01:01

I had clots but they were darker less jelly looking but I also lost some down the toilet that I never properly saw.
I've just read the full thread about your losses, I'm so sorry xxx
We had a miscarriage in 2021 and all I've ever wanted was to be a mum but I needed time to process and time to grieve, even if your pregnancy is successful go speak to someone if you haven't already, you can get 6 free sessions with the NHS but there is a waiting list. It's 2 years later for me (32) but it feels like just getting my head round everything was what I needed

Graphic image but this is how I woke up one morning.

Emilyjaynee666 · 03/06/2023 01:06

I thought if it was a miscarriage I would of bleed a lot more as I did with my previous 2 miscarriages. This time it's legit been for a day & half now I'm completely not bleeding - plus the bleeding before them clots was just when I wiped.

After loosing my son (Grayson) at 28 weeks we decided not to try again. I fell pregnant at only 5-6 month postpartum. I do think I'll speak to someone about how I'm feeling& I'm hoping that the gp can also refer me to do some testing to see why I've had miscarriages. I also still don't bo the reason as to why my son was born sleeping

OP posts:
Mrsstart · 03/06/2023 01:16

@Emilyjaynee666 oh darling how heartbreaking!
I was under the impression the NHS will carry out tests on you to try identify any issues from your 4th loss. I'm sure that's what they told me is classed as a "recurring miscarriage"
I know it's hard but you've got your scan booked for tomorrow, it's late and the internet isn't where you need to be right now, try get some sleep xxx

Mrsstart · 03/06/2023 01:19

@Emilyjaynee666 with my miscarriage I didn't bleed at all. It was a "missed miscarriage" and had to have tablets to help me start the process.
Every single pregnancy/ miscarriage/ birth story is so so different it's so hard to know what's going on sometimes xx

Safxxx · 03/06/2023 01:20

Hopefully all is well at your scan in the morning 🙏 don't lose hope you will be a mummy ❤️ sending lots of prayers your way 🙏🙏🙏

Robotik · 03/06/2023 06:24

I do hope you get good news xx

It's not quite the same but I had two miscarriages at 19 OP and now have a 2 year old and another baby coming in a few weeks and I'm 24 now so don't give up

Have you been referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic?

Emilyjaynee666 · 03/06/2023 07:40

I haven't been referred, I'm hoping they will if this one is a miscarriage

Keeping everything crossed for you OP. I had bleeding and clots with my youngest DC for a day or so but luckily dc arrived safely in the world. Wishing you all the best.
