anyone told the sex of their baby at 12 week scan?

Yesterday heard of someone being given a 70% liklehood of which sex baby she was having at 12 week scan. Anyone else experienced this and were they right in your case?

No, you can't terminate on gender alone (unless maybe you carry a genetic disorder?) but as you say that doesn't have to be the reason you give.

I don't think they are looking for testicles - they don't descend until just before birth so at 20 weeks they would be in the same place as a girl's ovaries. (One of my ds1's testes was absorbed into my body apparently - he was born without it - but there is a definite window when they descend I was told).
