At almost 6 weeks pg I am having severe 'pmt' type moods. If dp comes home this afternoon from work I might just kill him. I had this before with my other pregnancies and it let to some very scary arguments. I want to try and avoid that but my blood is boiling!!

Is there anything i can take to chill me out???

SF - have given me a good laugh as well just picturing the lava lamp incident.
I have treated myself to a cleaner - just for 2 hours a week, costs me a tenner and best money ever spent. I cried over my clean bathrooms!

swiperfox · 15/08/2005 13:57

tenner a week? thats not a bad idea!! Hmmm..... I don't know if i'd feel too guilty though!!

I think you'd get over it?
better than a manslaughter rap ...

swiperfox · 15/08/2005 14:02

possibly!! Although don't know if the satisfaction would feel as good

Right, ok, I'm going to be brave and do the mountain of awshing up (seriously, every plate, knife and fork has been used!) Then go to shops and find me some rescue remedy before i really do lose it!!!

I was like this in early pregnancy, could've fallen out with myself - and felt incredibly violent!!

ninah · 15/08/2005 14:14

SO wish I had known about it beforehand!

Thomcat · 15/08/2005 14:18

Swiper - and others, I've just stated a thread called : Homeopathic Remedies for Pregnancy and Delivery Support. There are things they suggest for wanting to kill someone. They call it feeling irritable, but ....!

swiperfox · 15/08/2005 14:24

I'm on way to find it Thomcat - I've just done half the dishes and the draining rack thingy is full

So now I want to murder again!!!!!!

Remember that hmeopathic remedies are not necessarily safe because they are homepathic. Check out anything you plan to take in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Best remedy is more sleep

swiperfox · 15/08/2005 14:25

Is rescue rememdy ok mears? I was just about to pop out to get some.....

I've honestly no idea Swiperfox. That's why I posted this.

Meditation. Excellent for relieving stress at any time and once you are practised at it, even a spare 5 minutes can become a big chill-out session.

swiperfox · 15/08/2005 14:28

I would love to learn to do that SG but with my two here 5 minutes quiet doesn't exist!!

SaintGeorge · 15/08/2005 14:34

The trick is to practice when you go to bed. You either end up meditating or falling asleep from the relaxation. Winner either way .

swiperfox · 15/08/2005 14:35

sounds good. Is it easy to do?

OP posts:
ninah · 15/08/2005 14:36

but if you feel murderous at midday and you need it NOW? what do you do?

swiperfox · 15/08/2005 14:36

lol good point!!!

colditz · 15/08/2005 14:39

Eat something comforting.

Go for a short walk.

Very, very slowly tidy up, so at the end of the day you don't have to.

Net time your dh refuses to get up with the children, send them back upstairs to jump on him.

SaintGeorge · 15/08/2005 14:44

True ninah, not an instant solution if you are a learner. Still a handy thing to learn how to do though.

Email me swiperfox if you want, I have some notes I typed up for someone else that you can have a copy of. antlxstew @ yahoo.co.uk

ninah · 15/08/2005 14:47

agree
just found these rages blew up so fast!
knowing to expect it was the biggest help
the meditation sounds like a good solution for rest and relaxation in general, which may help with the murdering
for a quick fix go straight to chocolate!

swiperfox · 15/08/2005 14:47

Thanks SG, will do. Colditz I get them in the bed every morning and let them both jmump on him. He just turns over and prwetends to sleep til they get bored I'm thinking jug of ice cold water.............

OP posts:
ninah · 15/08/2005 14:49

ninah · 15/08/2005 14:49

swiperfox · 15/08/2005 14:51

OP posts:
ninah · 15/08/2005 14:51
