For me, it was the hyperactive gag reflex... I can still gag myself with my toothbrush. And the ridiculous sense of smell. And DS was two in February!!! Is this ever going to go away? I can still smell the tap water when washing my face (and no one else can, or at least, they say they can't ), and the other morning I woke up and smelled the water and apple juice I had standing by my bed.
And no, I'm not pregnant again.

What are yours?

I have bigger feet now too, only half a size or so but it's still annoying!

DorotheaPlenticlew · 11/04/2010 20:18

Several cup sizes (was DD before having kids, went up to GG, and there is nothing fun about them being so massive).

I realize they might go down if I lost all the weight, but even losing most of it before getting pg again did not cause the ginormous breasts to go away.

Also like others, my feet are bigger now -- from 6 to 6.5/7. Pshaw.

displayuntilbestbefore · 11/04/2010 20:19

My feet also still half a size bigger!
I also have to check myself because I still get urge to spit when I wash my hands - it happened during all pregnancies, wanting to spit when I washed my hands - not in a dirty youth spitting kind of way, just a weird taste in my mouth and I used to spit into the sink sometimes, nothing more than if I was cleaning my teeth and then spitting but not something one wants to do if at a friend's house or in a public loo

pinkteddy · 11/04/2010 20:24

Captain N - my hair is a lot darker too - almost black naturally, hairdresser says - it was always light brown before.

During pg I developed an aversion to Flora or any spread containing additives. Always ate it before - I can't stand it now, tastes revoltng!

Also skin tags - they have never gone away!

IBlameThePMT · 11/04/2010 20:29

How funny, it seems Im normal! I have bigger feet too. Plus the hyper active smell thing (can smell stuff from a hundred paces), my boobs are not only bigger but still get that tingly breast-feeding thing (youngest stopped feeding nearly 2 years ago!)My skin was awful and has been since, dry and kind of pore-y - the texture is so different.

And that extra half stone of course. And I cry at the drop of a kitten...will I be an emotional wreck for ever...?

cyteen · 11/04/2010 20:36

A taste for meat, and near-constant farting (perhaps the two are related ).

dinkystinky · 11/04/2010 20:37

what feels like supersonic hearing! I swear I can hear the kids as soon as they wake up - down a corridor... had this in pregnancy - suddenly started hearing upstairs neighbours I'd never heard in the 2 years before then... only change was my pregnancy.

BrokenBananaTantrum · 11/04/2010 20:39

wow i thought it was just me who had bigger feet after pregnancy. Does anyone know why they grow?

wubblybubbly · 11/04/2010 20:39

Yes, my feet, they've never returned to their slender size 5s. How odd!

Also, a funny allergic reaction to sometimes to alcohol, especially wine. My face burns bright red and swells up a little. I didn't drink during pregnancy, but it happened with the first class of fizzy after the birth and still happens 3.5 years later.

Jacksmama · 11/04/2010 20:42

Your feet don't actually grow, it's that the ligaments between all your foot bones stretch (many bones in feet = many ligaments = bigger feet).

My haemorrhoids also never went away .

Chloasma.
G cup boobs which were previously a 32b

serenity · 11/04/2010 20:46

I got incredibly lactose intolerant when I was pg with DD - couldn't stomach any dairy at all, and consequently couldn't drink tea (was drinking 5/6 mugs a day before) DD is 6.5 years, and tea still tastes wrong. Dh had to wean me onto coffee because I whinged so much about it (still have issues with dairy too, but only mildly)

BrokenBananaTantrum · 11/04/2010 20:46

thanks jacksmama. I had always wondered why.

OMG 4andnotout

poorbuthappy · 11/04/2010 20:47

The skin thing for me, 16 months on and I can still only use diprobase on my face and body.
Also the partially numb big toe too! So glad this is not just me...

Peabody · 11/04/2010 20:48

Skin problems - yes! I developed acne on my back while pregnant with my second. 18 months later it is still here, much to my annoyance.

And bigger feet, yes. But this has resulted in new shoes so I don't mind about that

Nemain · 11/04/2010 20:49

I'd never heard of feet growing in pregnancy before. The things you learn on MN!

For me it is the ability to eat spicy/hot food. Before PG I couldn't handle spicy food. Now, everything has to be coated in chilli. Yum!

CaptainNancy · 11/04/2010 20:50

Pinkteddy- interesting to see it's happened to someone else! It's weird, because when I'm not pg, my hair isn't quite as dark- which means my hair looks strange as it has a darker band in it (DS in now 14mo) though it is growing out.
did your body hair change colour too, ahem?

BrokenBananaTantrum · 11/04/2010 20:51

my hair has chnaged colour - its going grey!

TottWriter · 11/04/2010 20:58

Yeah, my boobs never shrank back all the way either. I was a 30H before I got pregnant again.

I've also had ongoing hemhorroid issues too. Oh, and a really tough scar tissue patch from my episiotomy which makes spontaneous sex a little tricky at times. (I'm also much slower getting turned on than I used to be and my nipples are less sensitive, but we're verging into TMI grounds there...)

My belly button isn't as spasm-inducingly sensitive now though. Before, going anywhere near it was liable to provoke violent cringe reactions, but now I can prod it without fear. I'm also a lot less ticklish, and the stretch marks on my belly, boobs and thighs kinda go without saying.

I wonder what I'll keep from this pregnancy...

moominmarvellous · 11/04/2010 20:59

Cyteen - I forgot that one. Wind here too.

Wind and a big bum.....I can't remember why I'm doing this again.

shakes head in wonder, and farts as she leaves

Debs75 · 11/04/2010 21:04

My hair has thinned more and more with each pregnancy.
Sciatica on one side, tahnks to epidural
Piles
Over sensitive nipples, although this may be due to breastfeeding as wwell

Cicatrice · 11/04/2010 21:06

Another one here with bigger feet.

Piles

And heartburn.

BlauerEngel · 11/04/2010 21:09

Intolerance to caffeine - before my first pregnancy I could drink as much as I wanted, as late at night as I wanted. Now I have a 12 hour rule - I can't sleep for 12 hours after my last coffee or tea. This started 12 years ago, and it's clearly not going away now.

NoahAndTheWhale · 11/04/2010 21:11

Bigger feet
Stretchmarks

evansmummy · 11/04/2010 21:12

Piles, yes, horrible.
Stretch marks on thighs.
The annoying thing of crying about anything. Even funny stuff makes me cry. I have next to no control over my tear ducts since being pregnant.
